If you want I could talk to Ed Herbst and ask if he would comp all the rooms at Terrible's in vegas, knowing that you would be gambling there part of the time. He has always told me to give rooms to people that help with his boats. Just let me know. He may be having some problems but he is always open on ways to have people stay there. We could have a shuttle bus for stecz to the gay strip clubs

Many great lakes people could drive chicago. For me it would take less time to drive than fly with the added steps in flying these days.

The more that I think about it though... if people are going to take the time off and spend the money for a mini-vacation... maybe we should do it at a show, rather than ask the industry come to us.

Other than LA and Miami, what other shows would be considered? Maybe one year LA and the opposite year Miami? Rotate?

I'm still liking the Vegas idea, maybe because it will be close to me, and I've never been there. And, it would have everything. Plus, they'd be used to having a group like us show up. Bail money, and casualties would be much higher in many other cities.

the only problem with this is...well would we ever be invited back anywhere?? bobcats wasted riding luggage carts thru the hallway, Stecz is drunk preaching and selling koolaid in the lobby, kv is running rc boats in the pond in front, david is postwhoring with a sharpy on the bathroom wall, Chris is screaming "everybody please calm down", clay has turned the lobby into a strip club, I'm drunk swinging from the chandeliers, Wrinks dog is pulling the luggae cart bobcats riding... we are still waiting for Gellner floaty keychains, frankie is trying to sell the valet a new bayliner..... and thats the FIRST day..

A poll maybe with all 12 months in and pick the best one?

If so, I will start a thread with a poll and we'll start voting. Once the best month is chosen, we'll do the 4 or 5 weekends of that month in the next poll. Should have this set within a couple of weeks...

Polls are great, but with all due respect to our greater membership, I don't care about the opinion of someone that's not coming anyway. We need to separate the "HELL YEAH!'s" from the "sounds good's" and find out what works for them.

Vegas is tough to beat as far as accessability and expense. And when I floated the possibility of other venues, nobody bit. Time of year is a big one.
