There was a real nice kid in baggy shorts with his hat on crooked that was real helpful, we slipped him a c note, said he'd take real good care of the boat!! Lol. Hopefully it's there in the morning, if not it's insured, then we can get started on building the new fountain a little sooner!! Blahahahahaha
No, I've always been on tidal waters but I find it interesting when people that have boated all thier lives on lakes and rivers, suddenly get into salt water with tides and currents that change and sometimes oppose each other. A quick reminder is always helpful.
Like I said, ask Jenny what she thought of going out Haulover Inlet against the tide two years ago. Canopies make great fish bowls!

During an SBI race in Miami..some body used that ramp and after the race the trailer was gone incl the truck !!!!!!!!!!!
I think this was 2 years ago... but really they steal all the time right there at haulover !!!!!!!:ack2:
Looking at George and Jim's bustle makes me wounder what would happen if you added a two foot "swim platform which was say "oversized" and mounted the trim tabs to it. I have seen that on a few crusiers. Since the length is measured at the transom the boat would still be 30' but handle more like a 32 -33'.
We can't go wrong!! We got Colby on the crew this weekend!! Thanks for the support Randy. Wish you were here so we could try to kick your a$$!! This ocean water is smooth compared to lake of the ozarks where we run!!
Fountain had a great race from start to finish, looks like Brian did his home work and had the best set-up for today. Congrats to all the team for a hard fought battle.

That Fountain is so much better than all of the other SVL's in every way. Fastest in the calm by the second race (Cumberland) and by far the best rough water boat as demonstrated today. Make no mistake either, the boat has not reached its potential.
Making matters more daunting for everyone, the Fountain crew was awesome as well. They ran really, really hard in some very tough conditions. Courageous as hell is how I would describe what I saw. They caught some huge air and took some gigantic shots but just kept going.
At the end of the day, and with all due respect to the other boat builders out there, NO ONE knows how to make v-bottoms go really fast more than Reggie. He should be recognized for being the best ever. Congrats to him and the Fountain crew.
And congrats to Steve and Gary for finishing first in the SVL Classic race!

I was impressed with the way that "Doc' and Brain pushed that boat through some rough water,,, they had that boat flat and consistent. I heard that it was "Doc"Janssen first time in the boat,, as his son did not show up to Sunny Isles
Great Job to everyone that made the journey...
