What's Happening
The Southern California Speedboat Club (SCSC) will hold their annual Spring Classic at The Blue Water Resort & Casino April 12 and 13 and will feature fourteen classes of some of the fastest sprint boats in the country, with both inboard and outboard engines. The normally calm waters of the Colorado River will roar to life for their championship chase around a 1 ¼ mile oval course
The 2025 The Blue Water Resort & Casino - Absolute Speed & Marine Spring Classic Regatta Presented by Nick Rose Insurance & Games Boys Racing promises some exciting racing. Classes scheduled to race for this event are K Racing Runabouts, Crackerboxes, Grand Nationals, Sportsman Entry (SE), Sportsman Advanced 105 and Pro Stock Flatbottoms, Formula 1 and Formula Light Tunnel Boats and the Sportsman Limited Stock Outboard classes and Thundercat two-man outboards. Speeds range from 50 mph in the Jr. & Sportsman Limited classes up to 150+ mph in the K Racing Runabout class.
The Spring Classic Regatta starts on Saturday, April 12 at the BlueWater. Practice begins at 9 a.m., with racing starting at 10:30 a.m. Racing should last until 4:30 p.m. each day.
Admission is free. Please park in the upper Resort parking lot and come on down to the beach area as there will not be any spectator parking down in the pit area.
