My Vette has 2 seats and a 355 (5.8l) with Camel humps and a 650 Dp Holley and I feel it´s underpowered, doesn´t keep up with the bikesA V8 Benz fares well on the epa list Compared to VW´ Beetles, Saab 92/93´s, Trabant´s and Wartburgs...
That's odd. My 560 keeps up with the bikes.
At which speed do you crush waves with a 28 footer and how big?
Could you put some clean emission engines and get by at those speeds?
Anything starts to get alive at 85+
You wouldn't understand without having run a boat on western Lake Erie. The waves are unusual in their steepness and close intervals, meaning that a 28 with plenty of running surface is sometime up and across three waves. No swells to speak of. Think very tall chop with occasional sets of two or three waves off-axis to the prevailing wave direction. The fact that the western end is very shallow means that a northeast wind piles water up and it has nowhere to go as it accumulates at the one end of the "saucer."
Betty Cook came to race KAAMA on Lake Erie and when she was done she remarked something like "I am never going out on that b itch again." And she didn't.
