Took me 12 hours to be admitted on Wednesday, but now the doc doesn't think it's the acoustic neuroma that's making me walk like a drunk. I also have some brain lesions that the other doc thought was from eating undercooked pork (a good possibility when I used to chase wild hogs), but they took six vials of blood to test (I've already been to an infectious disease specialist), but now they want to do a lumbar punch. I know there are several things they can check with spinal fluid, but the main thing I can tell they are looking for is MS. Hell, you get MS in your mid twenties, not at 53, even though there are documented cases from 2 y/o to 70 y/o. I didn't tell my mom that was a suspicion, because her younger sister had ms, and I didn't want mom to freak. I did tell dad, and he agreed he didn't think it was ms either, and that it's probably a good idea not to tell mom. Dad told me, "You know how your ma can get irrational about her kids". 
I'm still in the hospital.
I can't believe not one comment or "story" from our ladies on that thread.
The neurologist told me the lumbar punch wouldn't hurt. I wanted to ask him how many HE'd had! Then the nurse said it was like when she got a spinal block for giving birth. I told her I'd never heard any woman describe child birth as being "pleasant" either.
Wow....I wish I were in Florida.
