Chicks, Chips & Boats

A lady just came up from the lab, and snatched away my breakfast before I had a bite. She said I could only have clear liquids. I told her that wouldn't be a problem with the lumbar punch, just hook a quart of vodka to the IV.:sifone:

Good luck today Joe

Morning everyone!

We had a great Easter. It was nice to have my daughter and our grandson up for a visit.

We cleaned out the garage (how does one 22x22 garage collect so much stuff in the winter months), so it feels good to walk into it today.

Had a nice dinner, played Euchre with some friends (girls won 5 out of 9 games!) and then out once we hit the bed. I had a tough time getting up this morning.

It's pretty today, but will be raining by the time rush hour rolls around. At least it isn't snow! :biggrinjester:

finished my taxes!!!!!!! I'm 1 po ho...........:(

Smells like mildewy boat cushions around here. hmmmmmm. Stinky!!!

John cleaned the garage, too. Looks great. For now.:biggrinjester:

Hello y'all, Happy Belated Easter, Joe I am glad to see you still have your sense of humor. I am glad your folks are with you, it helps to have an extra pair of ears when the docs are explaining everything. I think about you often and am hoping you have some good news to share with us this evening.

Easter was all work for us, Ian and I raked all the dead grass from our lawns and cleaned out all the gardens which were still full of leaves. We wound up with over 20 of the big brown yard waste bags. We had Salmon for dinner at 8:00 and Ian was snoring by 9:30.

He has off today and went to pick up our big boat, he tried to put the dock in for our ski boat, but that did not go well, the end pole got suck in a big hole in the lake, so the right side of the dock is tilted about 90 deg. The water is frigging freezing and without waders and help he just could not get it situated. When the guys come to put our hoist in I will ask them to finish the dock. We have the ski boat in the driveway so I asked a neighbor if we could move it to their empty lot to make room for the big boat.
Getting the boats and yard in shape sure makes spring an extremely busy time.

We worked a lot this weekend. I picked up the "big boat" ;) Saturday and brought it home. I have been working in the yard a lot trying to get it ready for entertaining. I owe taxes to the city, my insurance is due for the whole year on all of the vehicles, and still getting the parts for the new power. My checkbook needs life support. :(

So much to do in the yard still. And I raked it all out a couple of weeks ago.

I'm hoping I don't owe anything. I reminded Tony to call his tax guy (who is doing mine) and make sure he gets them from him today or tomorrow to send in.

Cuda - I hope everything goes well for you! I may have missed this, but did you get into the hospital that you wanted? I seem to remember that there was one you wanted more than the other.

Glad to hear everyone's Easter went well. We went over to my parent's house. My youngest second cousin (only just of 1 yr old) was hunting easter eggs. She is adorable!

-Donzi (damn him he didn't sign back out after using my laptop...)

to funny, Ian uses my computer on the weekends and forgets that I am logged in, then he posts in the technical section, I think that's why so many of the guys think I understand motors:biggrinjester:

I just made something I have never made before, pea soup. I bought a big spiral ham. I did not cook it, just took it apart and Ian will have it several night this week, then I froze the rest in portions for him later. So instead of giving the bone away I tried making the soup. I think it came out good, but we will see what others think, I started with the split peas, chicken broth, the big ham bone, which had lots of meat on it. Then I put in dried onions, garlic powder and my girlfriend said she likes thyme. I think I put to much of that so I added a few packets of spenda then some of this Indian spice that has cinnamon and nutmeg and other stuff in it, Then I added some finely chopped carrots. Fished the big bone and the large chunks of meat out, tried to trim all the fat off the ham pieces, chopped that up and added more of the diced ham I had saved. I am eating a cup of it now. I like the hint of cinnamon, I also add a bit of cinnamon to pot roast. So anyone else make pea soup from their Easter ham.

I think I mentioned that for spare cash Ian has been rebuilding air compressors and phase converters. He sells most of the stuff on Craig's list, he had a call from one of the adds recently and they guy said your name seems familiar, turns out he is a member of LEOPA. He is supposed to come here at 3 to by one of the phase converters.

I was taken down to have the lumbar punch done, sweating like a butcher over it, when a lady came out and said the paper work was done wrong. I was taken back to my room for a couple hours and still couldn't eat real food. The punch wasn't squat! I've had haircuts that hurt worse!:sifone:
