Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it.

You should know me well enough to know I meant 4 boats in SVL in Orange Beach who were qualified, under the Championship rules as posted for Orange Beach, to race for the OPA World Championship there.

I still wish you'd have stayed. Maybe Key West.

I guess the most confusing part to me is...I thought the SVL teams don't like GPS racing because you can not run all out and your speed is limited....but then you sit in a pack and limit your speed to the last lap...

Look, I guess I don't explain my thoughts very well, but I'll try again.....

I did not know ahead of time they were going to wait until the last lap. I enjoyed the race and took the video for Pete. I thought it was a blast to watch. In the final, everyone went all out. There was still approximately less than 200 yards between first and fourth (my guess).

What I saw, vs what I was told about in the last race by Mike, were four boats which, with the proper enforcement of SVL parity and overall rules, would always put on a race with this kind of deck to deck racing. An opportunity to show the world what was, and could be again.

Many on here, and elsewhere, talk about the death of SVL. What I saw was the showcase of what SVL would be if rules, and their enforcement, were what they should be.

As I said, maybe I say it wrong, but what was watched in Orange Beach is what I envision for all races where a group of SVL, and maybe others someday, race. Deck to deck, start to finish, team against team, etc.

Riding along to the first pin on board Typhoon. I havent had a chance to work on the video Paul shot, but when I get to it, we ( everyone) who cares to watch it. will have something to watch over the winter months. After watching it make your own thought whether it was cool or not. In my opinion, maybe I am biased, but a damn good clip.

Personally I find it insulting that a class would script a "race" during a world championship. There should be more respect for that title even if they are a dime a dozen. I highly doubt anyone would have agreed to this in KW.
 
What is the difference to what the 4 boats did in OB, compared to what EVERY Detroit Gold Cup "RACE" has been for the last several years?? There is a lot of pot & kettle going on here! Get Over yourselves..... it's done and passed.

This is not the detroit cup Thats why .
Is this what you do in S.S. If so They need to back off a little more to be fair to you .

He and others Built A great ! Organization which was STOLEN ! He did not fail .
The Thieves are all but gone now along with their Organization !

He , I believe is sincerely trying to help save the LAST of the Spec Type Classes .

Rat I do understand ( after reasonable explanation) that the SVL OB race could have sparked new interest . They just should never have let the cat out of the bag ,in order for it to succeed.

Just a quick clarification? You are referring to the offshore exhibition right? As with my obvious ties to the Hydro's that run for the Gold Cup, they go hang it out just as you do in every race to get up front. Not trying to stir the pot, but just want to make sure you are talking about the offshore side of the Detroit event.

You are kidding, right? Non points paying mis-matched boat exhibition vs a World Title?

Not to get off subject here...but were did Mike A fail running the LLC...
Last I checked it was the best racing and biggest boat counts....

When some teams don't like the rules and get together to leave racing LLC because they think they could do it better and FAILED....yes thats failing...when them same racers are now racing in OPA and SBI....becuase they have no were else to race....How did Mike fail...that is were some racers killed the sport..and today its still trying to be put back to were the LLC was...
If the LLC failed..and today we can not even get the boat count even close to what the LLC had not to mention TV...and major sponsors..... and even 1 spec class can't get it right when the LLC had 6+ spec classes runnning how did he fail....

If Mike failed...what dose that say about the current SVl class...that is run by the owners..its been nothing but bickering all year...and talk of the class going away...but that must be Mikes fault to...or the Fountain...or the Dolly Lama...or Obama...
I don't recall any class have to scirpt a race especaily at the Worlds to put on a show durning the LLC days....but you call the LLC failing but only 4 SVLs showed up for the Worlds with a planned 1st race and sending 1 SVL boat home...but thats better then Mike did...you have to be kidding..and you think your going to secure a major sponsor like Mike did with GM...NO SPONSOR IS GOING TO GET INVOLVED WITH ALL THIS BS AND DRAMA...
