The Great Unification

The class names change like the weather. I know how fast the SuperV's In 2000 were going. I was right in the middle of it. The Big cat what ever they were called that year were faster. Should I pull out the pix and the record books?

My point back in that post was the 525 Cats run about the same speed as the Super V unlimited . The extremes may be a little faster but, they usually don't go fast very long.

Ok The Ocean Spray boat was a Super V at that time and ran 140+ and set a new record....the modified boat which became the super cats were running 137 because I helped set that record in 99 at 136+ with Ragamuffin and Bowling set the Supercat record at 137......Class One doesn't apply to my original statement!!!!! I knew those guys were running fast I am strictly speaking SuperV against SuperCat in earlymillenium years!!!!

Nick Carter Racing was in '02 if I recall correctly. Ocean Spray was '99, Voyager they old Ocean Spray was '00. They same year Martin and I both raced a two boat team for Welling.

Nck Carter Racing was short lived. David Branch bought and raced that boat the following year. That boat , The "Poster Child" was special and raced under many names. Fountain, Pier57, Nick Carter, Muscle, and is now a Pleasure boat .

Martin wasn't involved until the voyager days.....Penhall and Sigalos set that record in 99

I think Martin and Welling up it to 142 in '00 in the old Ocean Spray as Voyager. '98 and '99 Martin and I ran F2 together. '00 was Martin in SuperV and Ronnie and I ran the F2.

In '01 SuperV in APBA used supercat motors. Pier 57 set that Kilo in the
"Poster Child".

Sean, Here are some pix from '99 days before the Washington [Reggie's] race and Kilo's. You can see the Penhall Sigalos boat on the side. It had Pfaff motors and Fountain had Griffin power. Both were very fast.
I was crewing the Tivoli Boat. There were race motors and Kilo motors that were installed that week.

I helped with the original rig job on Ocean Spray when Archer Marine built the boat.....The hull showed up and we did the rest!!!!! Not to bad for a guy before the DSM days!!!! Immediately after that was the Ragamuffin Skater both of which are Kilo Record Holding boats!!!!

Go Sean. Same here. I rigged everything in the engine compartment while working with Art Lilly. Allen Boerum did the Cockpit. We did three boats together. The posterchild, FountianUSA,com and Firewater. The first we have discussed. USA.com ended up setting a record or two not sure. It is now in the Muscle Fleet as well. Firewater ended up the Cintreon Boat.

We did USA.com at fountain. That was really cool having everything available. Here are 2 pix with me in the engine box with my trusty tool tray. Jim shop 1.JPG

The last I just saw. I shared it just for kicks. It is me wearing Reggies Life line moments before the Washington race in '99

Half cousin.

Fountain digitized the whole boat Skater Built and built a copy.:)

The 3 Skater built Fountains were often referred to as Half breeds.

The next SuperV race boat after that was USA.com or one that looked like it. The double wide cockpit instead of F16 singles.

Oh boys don't hate the player hate the game but I just can't resist asking the following question......

How is "The Great Unification" progressing? It has been one full season of racing including the worlds and I hear this and I hear that BUT I don't see anything progressing so what will it take??????????

Don't say money because at the beginning of the year the money was available and ready....LOTS OF MONEY!!!! But as I was told verbatim at that point was I can watch my grandkids do this at home for free!!!!!

the sad truth is... there will never be a great unification as long as there are three associations. same story different year. southern teams like to stay south, northern teams like to stay north. and just a small handfull travel. and many like the idea of no entry fees with a purse.

Wishful thinking that is as long there´s not a Strong enough top organization like U.I.M. or F.I.A. which basically has a monopoly in Racing elsewhere.
