i think its pretty cool how so many people are able to say "man that thing was cool" or "i miss that boat" even though they werent the nicest or fastest boats.

Yes it is and I have had a couple that I wish I still had. And I am sure most would say, Really? Why would you want one of those? ........Just plain FUN

18 foot donzi with a 289 and omc drive....moored at LOTO at the 10 mile marker in sunrise beach missouri from 1971 to 1984.....i sure do miss that place....and the boat....
70's -80's Loto was a lot better. I miss those times. My best friend had a condo in Osage Beach. I got lost once going to a campsite with my litle Hustler. Took the "Big Niangua" instead of the little one. I was going to Kansas with 4 gal of fuel. Once I stopped seeing any lights and any civilization I turned back and prayed to the guy upstairs to find any light to get some fuel. I got to some house and walked about 5 miles with two cook bottles... yup glass bottles with gas. But I made it to the campground. Linn Creek or something, by a bridge.
Great times...

21' Scorpion , Stainless Marine 12" bracket, Hyd Jacket Plate, Hyd Steering, Center Throttle, Mercury 200.......
This is what we built out of a $300.00 I/O hull with a hole in the bottom. We pieced it together with friends and favors. It was a blast 70MPH put a few boat to shame. It had a stock 200 with a 2.5 cowling.
