1958, lapstreak thompson with a 55 hp evenrude, all wood did 27 i think, it would hit a wake and we wont feel anything...... thought it was fast when your 12, and listing to am radio .
 
My first boat, 86' Scarab Panther w/500's and TRS. Waited some time and didn't want to buy under 30 ft because I wanted to be able to run the ocean. Did a full resto on it then used it for 5-6 years and got rid of it cause me and my wife were getting beat up on the ocean and got the Apache.

my first ride in a twin engine boat was a 1987 30' scarab panther on tablerock lake mo. years ago... had a hard on for this sport ever since...
 
I found on old pic of "First" boat.
Actually my Dads boat back in the mid - late 60's.. on the Danube

Most lawnmore motors are bigger then what we had. No reverse, no electric start, no neutral. :rofl: What great memories. That's when I got the "bug".
You can actually see the step in the hull.
I been driving step bottom boats decades before Fountain, OL, AT. etc. even existed.. :biggrinjester:

My dad has had boats since before I was born, but this is my first boat, bought and paid for by myself. 1991 Apache 28' Brave.
