The Day SVL Died

Bruce , Doc will be their ,,he needs a title on that boat,, I also know those guys are doing all they can to do this,,but ,,Steve runs a responsible company ,, thats why he asked last week for an answer ,,not the eleventh hour call,, I notice your company comes first ,,(as it should),,,,everybody is doing all they can,,hope it all works out for all..be safe ,,and enjoy the week ,,

Here is another idea if Steve cannot make it to KW - Randy and Colby can come here and we can set up the long distance rough water race. No money, no boat titles. Just a good old fashioned scrap, then a great lunch at Gators, some laughs, some hatchet burying, and some planning for the future of the class and racing in general. I'll buy lunch.

I like it !!!! Mike's buying lunch:eek::cheers2:I'll buy the beers.

I thought I saw a post that Doc wasn't bringing the boat. Maybe I misread. What exactly is a responsible company? I think anybody that owns a business, has a responsibility toward their company. Is that what you meant? Steve did say he needs 4 hours notice to mobilize, didnt he? He knew the guys were trying very hard to get the funds together. I think if it got to a point where it was too late, he should have told Colby to pull the plug...he already made other plans. Not wait till Thurday morning. Maybe he did privately, I dont know. I've said my peace. Have fun.

I hope they both just beat the conditions of the water. A good rivalry has no place in offshore racing. It does in all other forms of racing, but not offshore, it more about the show for the fans. Just kidding kinda,

No he did not tell me privately...trust me I wanted to pull the plug at one point when we took two steps back then at the last minute it all come together........I really do hate that miklos is so disappointed in me. Do you think he wasn't reading the thread??

George are you coming..on second thought lets have a show of hands so to speak of who is gonna be there not just racers.

Since all you svl owners feel steve still has time to get there ,and give up his plans , how bout you do the same ?

Well ? Go ahead give me hell .

I bet I see most of you on duvall tho .

Very nice post, but I hope it happens in Key West...

You should get in the boat with Steve if the others can't make it. After all, you had a touch of this beginning......:D

Iv been in CA working my tail off.... The family is great we have been drag racing and its been a blast we don't seam to have all of the BS that i see offshore racing still has. Its been alot of fun with both of my kids racing JR dragsters and my wife racing a 700hp nitrous fed mustang and i just built a 2600hp twin turbo 10.5 outlaw mustang, its great i have a 10th the cost of boat racing the whole family gets to race and i can do it any weekend of the year

Latest news!!!! boat is ready and leaving at 8:00 am. Thank you to all the people that have made this race happen. Colby and myself will arrive on Tues. Filled out the pre reg. forms. We will race any team that shows up in SVL. Its all in motion now and we cant stop this train.

Once again you prove me right!

You love to compete whether is racing for first , fourth or last!

I hope Steve makes it but if he does not, I already knew the outcome.

Good luck and kick ass!
