yea Willie ,,I remember racing that Corsa in key west with the Magnum ( DERANGED ) YOU WERE REAL FAST ,,THOSE WERE THE DAYS ,,( OF FUN )
All of the Class 6 boats are faster than the Class 5's??????:biggrinjester:
Wasn't that the Wildcard Corsa and was it not just for sale over the last year...
Agreed Frank
I too, have made many friends (some very good) and aquaintances all over the country. I've made some enemies too. But very few. (usually non racers) The experience over the last 10 years racing, has been great. And even though I kick myself in the azz everytime I think about how much money I have pissed away over that time, It was a great experience. We (the SVLs) were a tight knit group. We were like brothers (and sisters) who always helped one another out, when in need. We dont want to beat another team because they couldnt get off the trailer. For the most part, we are still that brotherhood and would continue to help out one another.
When winning at any cost becomes more important than comraderie and friendship, everything we've done to this point was a waste. At the end of the day, It doesn't really matter who wins. What matters is, did we have fun?, did the fans enjoy the show?
It would be a whole lot better if there were 10, 12, even 15 boats at a race with good battles throughout the fleet. No one will remember who won, they will remember the great battles.
This is not a professional sport. We're not makin a living doing this. So, until we quit our jobs, and theres a huge purse and sponsorship, we should just focus on havin a good time with our friends. Afterall, thats what its all about.

Moderators,
Why are non racers able to disrespect racers again and again?
