Glad you like them ,there is a bunch more going up soon .I was working for Danny when I built my first Cheetahcat after work and Also came home from Arabia to do the 38 tooling..
The mold for this deck Danny wanted it one inch thick in solid glass OK , 420 gallons of resin and Gelcoat later it was done! then the fiberglass shell sat in a pipe supporting cradle on 12" steel wheels that looked like a nascar roll bar system when I was done with it. What makes this hard to do is the material shrinks in cross section so uniformity in the layup was the key to avoiding distortion and controlling exothermic heat as the resin cured.
Just out of curiosity, why would he want a deck built that is so heavy? I would think if you wanted a heavy build all that there resin would have served better in the hull bottom.
