Used the snow rack on the roofs yesterday. It has been a few years since we did that. When you get a good load off the roof it sounds like a truck hitting the ground.

Happy Friday

Temps in the 20s and not seeing a whole lot of snow in immediate forecast.
Break will be nice about now.

Mornin!:seeya:
No internet this morning

back on now....After I did a WSJ Crossword....Old School....in Pen.

I haven't started my snowblower in 5 years. I didn't even take it out of the shed this year.

Drive an hour or two in any direction and they have deep snow.

Lake Erie is mostly frozen. The past few years it didn't freeze.

When I was a kid they drove 10 or 15 miles from Put In Bay or Kelleys to the mainland on the ice. They collected Christmas trees and dropped them on the ice along the established safe route. You drove from tree to tree on the ice. When the ice thawed, the trees disappeared.

Now they run the ferries longer if no ice or fly it if the ice is sketchy.

A lot of years people have gone out on the ice on a day with a strong southwest wind and a huge ice chunk breaks off and they are stranded. Some fire departments along the shore have hovercraft, etc. Around 15 years ago, Coast Guard helicopters from Detroit had to ferry like 300 people off a massive chunk of ice. They were pissed. (The CG).

This was supposed to be the result, not edit....

They should charge them for doing so, or leave them to become like old Christmas trees......

Gonna start snowing here in Reno shortly, we can see it coming this way from the mountains now
