I didn’t realize the water level changes with the wind on that lake until 2005. We looked at a boat in Monroe. Every boat in that storage facility had a broken skeg.

A prolonged E-NE will flood this end of the lake. A strong W-NW will empty it. Like a biblical event. Think "red sea." I kept my first couple boats at a slip in a river just south of Monroe. We kept our outdrives up so that when our boats got dropped in the mud, we wouldn't get stuck.

BAMM.

The first thing I look at on Boat Sale ads is the Lower Unit.....If I see that part of it is missing....I Teehee...Most of the Boats in South Florida are Skegless:o

Having another Birthday, does that mean there is more Blue in the Oval?

Kind of like the ladies with blue hair?????

Happy Birthday up there in the frozen north!!!

Dang, got out on the lake. The storm hit 2 hours early. I was watching. We got off the lake in time. But we did the right thing and helped about 12 boats off the lake. It was raining and blowing, I left my phone on the boat. It is starting to dry off. But not working 100% yet. The people were very thankful for the help.

I totally believe you, that's not where I am going with this. Just curious how you helped? Warning them? Helped at ramp? Just trying to picture it.

We pulled off. I left my phone in the boat, and we ran back to the ramp to catch the boats coming in. The ramp is in a river and a little tricky to land with the current. A nice young lady asked us why we were doing that. I told her that is what real bloaters do. She told us thank you. We help get her dogs off the boat also.
