Should get some perfect Weather. I'll be up in Venice on the 1st of April.

That Truck bid is up to $16K as of last Night.

The only thing out of 73 I would like is a Bronco. Not even a 73 Mustang. My Father bought the dealership in 73. Not much in that line up I would care to put in my garage.

Those larger Mustangs those years aren't my favorites either.
Hard not to like the lil' Broncos though.
My 73 was a lot of fun with the motor that was in it, but would have been better with steering and brakes:)8.jpg2.jpg

It was bad until 82...When They changed the Mustang back into a Muscle Car. I had an 83 GT Red and Black.

None of those mid to late 70's Cars made it to the 90's!!! When was the last time You saw a Ford Fairmont ?

When I was a sophomore in high school a girl a couple years older would give me rides to school sometimes. She had a blue Ford Fairmont. It had a loud stereo with little box speakers mounted on top of the little shelf under the back window that cars used to have. The ones with all the bugs and dust that you can't get out of the corners.
Anyway... she would play Triumph "Magic Power" and I liked that car.

A few times her mom drove. The mom had a Chevette. I think it was the first four cylinder car I ever rode in.

The next year I got my first car... 1975 Buick Century 4 door with a 350. The transmission failed my initial tests. :)
But I put a new tranny in it (Meant something else back then) and it lived on.

And then when I was 18, I bought a 1982 Yamaha Seca Turbo and proceeded to use the turbo whenever possible. My father, who is a smart man, took out a life insurance policy on me that he holds to this day. Whenever I buy something dangerous, he smiles quietly.

My step mom had a 1985 Mustang 5.0. Manuel. I mean it had a stick, I did the yard work.

There is two Fairmonts up the street from me. A blue and a red 4 door. The girl that inherited the blue one tried to sell it to me last fall. We sold it new. I told the girl I didn’t like them in 1980, and I still don’t. No thank you. The 2drs did get a following from the drag racers. Kid in town made a name for himself racing his. Look up Pat Topolinski. My first car was a 1949 Jeepster. My Dad gave it to me when I was 14. I had restored by the time I was 15,but couldn’t drive it for a year.

First ride was a 1977 Rally Nova.
Orange with gold rims and stripes.
It was a nice car because my Mom bought it brand new and took great care of it.
Just rust from being in MI.
Cam, carb, intake, headers might have got it to 220+ hp...
Ran good ALL the time because I worked nights at a service station and could use all the tools after close.
It was faster than a lot of new stuff back then, but FAR from a fast car.
Just the times

My sister had a Nova. It wasn't a Rally Nova. It was a Dogtrack Nova. :)

My mom had a 1971 Chevelle. She sold it before I was old enough to drive. She bought a crappy Mustang II. :(

73 Gran Torino, 351 Cleveland.....Mint Green...$300 . Drove it for a Year and sold it for $200...Then bought a 67 SS Camaro...Tore it apart...and joined the Air Force...

Dad sold it and a built 283 for around $500...Which I spent on a 78 Kawasaki 650.

You can see the 67 in the background....Sigh...Notice the Gold Crossmember off of a 74 Torino Wagon.

That Torino had Front Brake Lights and Steering Wheel Rim Horn(had the Brochure for the Brake Lights in the Glove box)

Repainted a 73 Ranchero I bought from a old guy the got it new from my Dad. Had that same front end. It was white, I painted it blue. I tried my luck at painting it with lacquer. Never was happy with the finish, I sold it to the sleazy slink sisters. Wish I had it back, they were a cool car.
