What's Happening
The Muskegon Powerboat Weekend is one of WMO's premier events, and in 2016 attracted more than 80 boats. The 65-mile run is intentionally designed to be welcoming to 180 mile-per-hour cats, big-power vees, smaller single-engine boats, and everything in between, and is formatted in such a way that you can run as little or as much of it as you want to. Three of west Michigan's best ports are used - Grand Haven, Muskegon, and White Hall, and the itinerary is action-packed. Check out the full lineup of events below.
'THE CHASE' STREET PARTY: FRIDAY, JUNE 16, 4:00-10:00PM
The area's only offshore street party will take place in downtown Muskegon as part of the Taste of Muskegon Festival, with more than a dozen of West Michigan's hottest boats on display! High-dollar cats on tilts, Cigarettes, Outerlimits, and many other boats will be the centerpiece of an event that last year attracted more than 5,000 people!*A beer tent, lots of food, and a live band will be present, and this will be an event you won't want to miss! *
WMO DOWNTOWN MUSKEGON PUB CRAWL: FRIDAY, JUNE 16,10:00PM-12:00AM*
The Taste of Muskegon is putting on a pub crawl featuring more than a dozen of Muskegon's best beer joints, all within walking distance of the street party. This free event is open to WMO members, and vouchers will be handed out at the street party.*
THE WEST MICHIGAN OFFSHORE POKER RUN: SATURDAY, JUNE 17, ALL DAY*
Headquartered at the Party Cove Mart Dock and the LakeHouse Waterfront Grille,*this event will include all-day action. *
ITINERARY
10:30-11:30am - -*Mandatory Captain's Meeting at the Mart Dock Party Cove
Details, poker run stops, safety information, and more will be discussed. This meeting is mandatory*for all captains to participate.
12:30pm-2:30pm - -*West Michigan Offshore Poker Run
A 65-mile poker run with stops in White Hall at White Hall Landing Marina, in Grand Haven just outside of North Shore Marina, and several in Muskegon Lake. Beginning with a staggered start, boats will participate in the 'parade of power,' as numerous spectators watch the boats head out the channel, following the Port City Princess. This poker run is perfect for the big boats to get some serious run time in, and equally as flexible for captains with smaller boats that would rather run only a portion of the full route.*

2:30pm-5:00pm - - Boat Raft Up Party at Muskegon Lake dunes area
Hangout with other offshore boaters at an offshore raft up party, grab some food at Dockers, The LakeHouse, or the Muskegon Yacht Club (open to the public this weekend only), or make your own plans.*

5:30pm-11:00pm - - Muskegon Powerboat Weekend Celebration and After-Party
An after-party will take place in a deluxe tent on the lawn outside the Shoreline Inn, which is only a short walk from the Party Cove. A delicious dinner will be served by the Lakehouse Waterfront Grille at 7:00pm, a cash bar will be available, and an award ceremony will take place. If you're a WMO member but aren't doing the poker run, you're still welcome to join us for dinner.
