Looking for "SeaDoo for Dad" - 108' Sunseeker

OK - This is important
There has been some communications which indicate that the owners of the vessel are in reality "stand-up" people, and may not be aware of what has happened. While this avenue is being pursued, I ask that everyone refrain from any further saber-rattling and/or conjecture. Maybe this can be settled appropriately after all. Thanks!

That's certainly good news.

But I can hardly wait to hear the back story on this one.

Good news and I think all should respect it. The sad part about it is, he will just claim ignorance to the wake and the damage. However that doesnt negate the fact that he/someone on his vessel flipped people off trying to make him aware of it.
He may be a stand up guy, but to me a stand up guy should have stopped and seen what was up, not high tail it out of there...

I'm still waiting to hear if the Coasties really tried to stop him and he refused......

Right now, things point to the owner NOT being on board. Until it is known who was at the controls at the time, cut the guy some slack. Behind the scenes, there are people trying to make things right. Please let them do their jobs.

It may not be him. It's hard to imagine someone with the discipline necessary to reach that position at such a young age would behave in such a way.

As far as the Coast Guard thing, look at who the man sells multi-million-dollar aircraft to-

Doesn't matter who owns it OR if he was on board, it is his boat, his ultimate responsability. If he wasn't driving it, then he knows who was. if he doesn't then the boat is stolen. black and white.

That's certainly a possiblity. But at this point, let's go with "benefit of the doubt".

Let's honor Chuck's request and hold back on further speculation. We want to be a part of a positive resolution, not a hindrance. I'm certain we'll be the first to hear when something happens.

Thanks!

I agree 100% thats why I mentioned to respect chucks wishes.

I had a guest on my boat, a business associate, and I always tell people that when someone does something stupid, don't yell or scream at them because my boat has a pretty distinguishable paint job.
Well someone drunk jumps from another boat right in front of me leaving a place, and he proceeds to start cussing at them. 2 weeks later I am confronted by 4 drunks who remember my boat and want to whop me. I admitted it was my boat, but told them it was someone else, but I looked at the one guy that had jumped and asked in hindsight if he thought it was the smartest thing to do? I apologized for my friend and we all walked away. Had i not been around they easily could have F'd my boat up, it just doesn't pay anymore to get angry...I have bystander apathy now.

Is this why Mark was asking about insurance coverage when "a friend" borrows your boat?

Yeah, I know.....like he would have those kinds of friends...:biggrinjester:

As far as I can tell he is the son of Laurent Beaudoin ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laurent_Beaudoin ) who married the daughter of Joseph Armand Bombardier ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Armand_Bombardier ) who invented or perfected the snowmobile and formed Bombardier.
