Let's talk SVL's!!! 2010 is coming fast!

We are doing the evaluation now. I do not expect anything but a few bits and pieces for Miami. Within 60 days we should have a full understanding of whats possible and be well into implementation.

Good luck Steve. Finding 5mph (within the rules :sifone:) to run with 104 won't be easy.

I am sure the Fountain will be faster at the next event.
This is the normal genesis that occurs when the rules open up. I do not think you would have this banter if jimmy did not say it was all about his driving prowess. No one was saying anything up until then.

:iamwithstupid:

George, why did you take this jesting so personal?

Oh, and by the way, I never said the end would come in Biloxi. Go back and read what I said. (I would point out that the Fountain was nothing but a barrel of goo 21 days before the race and still ran up front. Where do you think it is going from there?) However, I also did not realize that the class rules had been so relaxed that adding bustles, changing strakes, etc. without the rest of the Class's knowledge was legal. Now that it is clear the rules are wide ass open, the teams willing to spend the time, money, and energy chasing more speed will have fun and the boats will be much faster. The demise of the class will be faster as well.

When I was milling at the wet pits, I heard someone tell me that they had made a deal to purchase the Fountain, after the first race, and they already had another one in the works,,, to showcase soon. I would not not discount Fountain, and wonder if they really wanted to come out and put all there cards on the water the first time,,,
Someone stated it was going to be at the OPA race this weekend, also?

mike it,s not personal ,,I just hate to see all this ,,as for ther bottoms of these boats EVERYONE of these boats have been changed,,ie,,strakes,,widend,,narrowed,,,shortened,,,added,,removed, or all,,,every boat has had sand paper put to it,,,( blueprinting) they are calling it,,even the new fountain was sanded all across the bottom... as for the rest we will just have to wait and see,,maybe we can head it off at the pass,,

Unofficial SVL

10 IMCO
104 Boatfloater
4 We've Got You Back
51 Extreme Vortec
66 Progressive
411 Team Octane
29 Typhoon
21 Fluid Sealing
23 Pirate Racing

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
If you rank them on Looks,, Performance, and Speed it would be much different,,, I got to look inside the new boat,,,,,,, Doubt if anyone wants to invest in one of these old antique boats, when the new model are clearly high tech.
Lets see what the other builders come up, waiting on a Donzi SVL
