If by "pretty much even in speed" you mean IMCO only had a couple of mph over everyone else at WOT then I would agree.

Mike, I don't know how many tenths we may have had. The deciding factors for our win included a lucky pick for the pole position, The Fountain beat us to turn one but , as they begin to pinch us as they set up for the pin we changed to the outside and made up a few boat lengths as we rounded pin #2 and lined up with them by pin#3.. We went the entire length of the straight side by side. As we approached the left hand dog leg on the west end we had the position and enjoyed a 2 or 3 boat lead the moment I turned for the pin. I proceeded to take the next right turn tight and forced every one across my wake.
Had we not drawn the pole things could have been very different. Next race we start on the outside and I see the Vortec, Typhoon and Progressive as the early favorites. I think they will be able to draw on their experience and all find a podium in our first ocean race this season.

That is funny stuff!
You reset your engine on the way to turn 1 and still arrived at the same time as the Fountain. Looking at the video and overlaying our Data I would say you ran at least 94 MPH on lap 1 while we were running 92.1 MPH. That's ok there are now things we can now do that I was unaware of.

We hit 97.1 on Saturday with a little wind chop. On Sunday less wind we hit 95 something and just ran out of time to catch Imco. But gave up alot on the start. After getting pinched about 5 times from the fountain We showed them how to turn a SVL. Thanks for the pointers Jimmy. We will see in the bump how the Fountain does. I will admit it is fast, and will get faster, but is it as well rounded, and forgiving as a Phantom or Extreme.

You misunderstood me man. Don't get your panties in a wad. You are by far the greatest driver in the history of the sport. I mean, please. Who could possibly take issue with that? Your snake tactic? Brilliant...no one else but you could execute that move. Diving inside and outside, left and right. Up, down, over, under! Such a site to behold. And you do it all with a smile, just look at this in-cockpit shot of you: :driving: I'm coming to Miami just to witness it in person.

We are doing the evaluation now. I do not expect anything but a few bits and pieces for Miami. Within 60 days we should have a full understanding of whats possible and be well into implementation.

Team Extreme Sun Print Management is under a gag order and will not be discussing such matters publicly. We are however preparing a comprehensive list of requests which shall be submitted to Mike Tomlinson for approval. Given the breadth of changes he has already approved for others without informing the rest of the fleet before Biloxi, we fully expect our numerous requests, some of which are blatant red herrings designed to cause confusion, to sail through easily. :reddevil:
I am not sure that we could do enough to overcome Jimmy but we must try. It is the American Way!:USA:

ok I have to ask ,,What direction would this thread be taking if the FOUNTAIN had won,,,last week it was were all going down ,,and we would loose our class at biloxi,,,but,,BUT it didn,t happen ,,, two ,,too,,,2,,,phantoms did their homework in two differant directions , and stoped the so called class killer,,now were on to another way to bash,,,,they are going to come back,,,destruction is going to come back and i,m going to come back,,,,but in all reality someone else is going to win,then what,,,lets all have fun,,,your already rich, so whats left ,,have fun,,JUST BRING IT,,,

I am sure the Fountain will be faster at the next event.
This is the normal genesis that occurs when the rules open up. I do not think you would have this banter if jimmy did not say it was all about his driving prowess. No one was saying anything up until then.
