just got back from my ski trip. That yoga really paid off, first time I have been on a ski trip that the front of my thighs did not hurt. I know it was from a year of holding those warrior poses (lunging forward) Bad news is I gained 4 lbs. I really fell off the wagon, I ate and drank everything I wanted.
 
Glad to report I've lost nearly 10lbs. over the last 6 weeks buy just re-adjusting my diet again. Maybe 10 more pounds to go - tops. Just started doing push-ups and sit-ups again. Should be lookin' good by spring! I also stopped smoking in the house as of today. Should cut my smoking down by more than half within a month. Yahoo!
 
Great going Mark, 10 lbs in 6 weeks is very good. Don't be discouraged and hang in there with cutting back on smoking, hopefuly at some point you can give it up completely, it will also make excersing a lot easier. How many pounds are you trying to loose?

I was smoking up to 2 packs per day. Smoking outside the house instantly cut that down by around 30%. I expect to be under a pack a day within a month (I've done it before). Once I'm there for a bit, I can make a run at quitting.

I'm thinking another 10 pounds should be perfect for my size / height. I am 5'-11' and currently 165 pounds - tops.

Ms. Patriyacht, don't fret over 4 pounds - you were on vacation. The weight I just burned off was from the holidays and just being less active during the winter. I hate the freekin' cold! :ack2: Hang in there yourself. I'm sure your hubby appreciates all of your efforts! :)
 
So I've lost a little more weight while drinking my ass off lately. Turns out if you drink crumby beer that gives you the "Genny-Screamers" you can still drop weight!
 
Viper being in the business are you going to the Arnold classic this weekend in columbus ohio? If so I'll be there saturday.
 
I quit smoking 12-27-08 and I have put on about 20 pounds already. My diet sucks I do not eat breakfast or lunch and when I go in the house I eat until I fall a sleep. When the wife makes breakfast for diner (my favorite) I eat 3-4 eggs, 8 French toast with about 2 cups of syrup and Jiff instead of butter and no sense in putting any bacon or sausage back give me the package please. I do eat good at least 3 days a week and that would be chicken but just 1 for me thanks. After I consume until it hurts I lay on the couch for awhile and before I fall a sleep I go in the kitchen and grab a large spoon the Jiff and Ritz crackers. I wake up about 2 AM with the spoon in my hand or on the floor I clean up the best I can at that time in the morning, put the now warm milk jug back in the fridge (don't worry the kids don't get up until 7 milk will be cold by then) drag my azz to bed get up at 5 spank the wife and go down stairs, have a cup of Joe, watch a little news, get work cloths on and walk out to work. This has worked for years with not much weight gain until I quit smoking. What would you suggest my thoughts are since I have no time to workout that smoking would just be easier....



Now I know your going to say why bother going upstairs, well some days its the only time I see the wife, I need the exercise and when I say I spank the wife well you know what I mean.
