It's been a while but have a new story!!

Just got a call from the vet. Not very good news! I need some help.
The cat is in worse shape then we hoped. They finally got her stabilized enough to completely check her. She needs a hip surgery which is $1500 and reconstruction of her pelvis for the bargain price of $3500 let alone the current bill for about $1500 plus the meter is running and we will probably see a final bill of about $8000. I took on this commitment and will follow through with it. However if anyone has a friend or a family member that is a vet can we see if we can get any kind of deal on the reconstructive surgery I would be indebted. I know I get friends in distress calls all the time. I could really use help with this one!!
In turn You and your vet friend can have the 2 back seats in the Mercedes boat for the Islamarada or St. Pete Poker run.

Gino.. Thats a great thing to offer for a lil help for a cat. I hope someone appreciates it and is able to help you out with the extremely generous thing you are doing.

Wow. the story started out like you stumbled on three kids abusing the cat. Glad to hear that wasn't the story. I sure hope it's ok. Huge animal fan.

Gino do you have a Angel Memorial affiliated service near you any place? They may be able to help you out plus help place the cat. I am tight on cash these days and the tranny in my truck just went last night but would be willing to help out a little bit. Maybe a bunch of other memebers and we can help aleviate some of the costs a little? Gracy and Sasha say thank you!!!

Hi Jon, Thank you! Let me know if i can help you with the tranny. I was partners in a tranny shop with a good friend. I can have him ship the tranny to you and save you bunch, let me know! He ships trannys all over the country and so. America all the time.

I made the decision last night to just go forward with the operations here. Reneas sister is going to take her so she will be family. Once she is better Renea is going to drive the cat to her sister house in Oklahoma. (Maybe I can get some of the E-Dock guys to visit her from time to time)!:)

I look at it this way, there were several reasons I came across the cat. I had a couple of stupid situations that held me up 2 hours. I drove down a street I almost never take. God must have wanted me to find her. Last night when I got the news and price of what she needed I was very confused what to do and I was talking to a buddy. He said to me "how much do you pay for one of those props you break all the time"? He's 100% right! I hate buying props but if one breaks i order it and it's forgotten. i would never forgive myself if I went a different route with her! If this ended any other way than costing me a fortune it wouldn't be a Gino story, would it?

Gino, you are a great guy. The world needs more....... Maybe thats why your so blessed in many other ways.

Gino. Nice to see you're never too big to have a heart. If I thought it would work, I'd take in your kitten. Just afraid our Basenji would try to play a little rough with it. All of our pets adopted me....maybe with a little encouragement....ok alot, when I was on the road. A stray that I brought home in 93 presented us with 7 kittens 2 months later, which we kept the runt of the litter. We had to put her down a couple months ago due to a stroke...that was hard. We're down to Keechoo now and I'm afraid she would want to rough house with a kitten the way she did with the adult cats, let alone a kitten in the fragile state as yours. I'm sure you'll find a good home for her though.
Thanks for taking the time for a little one:)

gino im in for some $$$$... even considered taking her in but have enough cats as it is...

let me know before she is discharged

Gino you have bangin stories...... This reminds me of a story my grandfather used to tell me it really didn't apply here but maybe it could fit in this particular situation or maybe I will get harassed to no end for it but here it goes....

Boy I ain't never had no bad *****....just some I wished I wouldn't have got!!!!!!!

Hope everything works out for you and your well...... you can fill in the blank!

Gino...you are the man! She looks a lot like our cat Twiggy that we had to put down last June...my wife has been begging me for a kitten since then, but we have another kitty that probably wouldn't like that so much. Otherwise, Gina might have been heading for Illinois. Can't beat that for building good karma dude!

We were up all night. We got some news about 8:00 that was completely unexpected. New problems with Gina. Here Bladder and the nerve to her bladder were very swollen from her trauma. They thought the swelling would go down and not be an issue. Because she hasn't been able to pee on her own they think the nerve may be permenetly damaged which means she will never be able to pee by herself which obviously would not be an option. This is extremely emotional as we thought everything would be fine, expensive but fine. Please cross you fingers for her!
