It's amazing to see the disparity between us old timers and the young guns. At 42 I'm not old, but I started racing back in the mid 80's.
The biggest difference as I see it is the older guys want to see the big water stuff. The bigger the better. Whether it's one boat against the elements like the Warpath video or the whole fleet running to Sand Key. More focused on the crews work, mainly the t-man, than that of the boat.
The younger guys, whether it be age or just newer to the sport, like to see the flat water, close to shore, full speed runs. Focus is definitely on the machines and the technology.
Whichever you prefer, it all works, as long as it's about racing boats.
