Crazy wind here today was blowing 30 mph and about 90 degrees outside cold front moving thru it's cooling down to 80. It made some crazy looking water out by the sand bar

Are we suppose to feel bad for you because it was 90 and will now only be 80???? :moon::moon:

Morning guys, the sun is shinning here but it is still under 40, supposed to get to 50 later. I want to get out and do some yard work but the wind is blowing pretty hard, I hate trying to rake leaves when it's windy. The kid across the street is coming over to help, i plan to rake the leaves out of all my gardens and let him bag them. I don't mind the raking but I hate the bagging part.

Did anyone see the ABC national news last night, the one with Charlie Gibson, only Diane Sawyer hosted last night. Every Friday they have a person of the week. Last night it was about a gal that started a project to gather prom dresses and distribute them to kids that could not afford them. Remember how I said that watching kids try on prom dresses always makes me a little sad about not having any of my own. Well watching that segment made me realize that I would love to be involved with something like that. I still can't decide if I am crazy, last night I called the girl and she said her dream is to have chapters of her organization all over the country. So guess who has volunteered to start a chapter in the metro Detroit area. I can't imagine what I am getting myself in for, but I have a large network of women that I know that can help in various ways and I know I would enjoy it. Please tell me I am not crazy taking this on. Here is the clip from the show

That sounds like a great idea, and some thing that could go over well in Detroit! With the auto industry as slow as it is, I am sure there are many families that can benifit from a program like this. Good luck, and enjoy the ride!

Very nice Donna. If the passion is there, go with it.
