Lavey was in the lead and both got ejected going into turn 1 right in front of us... both guys were in the water just passed turn 1 and on the course....
We stoped and Mark put his boat in front of both crew members to block anyone coming around the turn since we were the first boat on the seen and till they got them both back into the med boats...after they were in the boats( about 2 to 3 minutes) were started back up and finished...I remember looking right into K Copper's eyes as he was floating...they both look like they were out of it....I believe there gimble broke going into the turn....

That was the same race that the How Sweet it is boat stuffed and ended up in pieces...
I remember that race well..
Mark like to try new things on the boat and try differant set ups.....since it was a divisional race he put on a 5 blade prop to see what it would do.....We never race with one before...
After that...he never put a 5 blade back on...

That was a fun race though....nasty water...but the Worlds in Orange Beach on Sunday that year was ruff..

First race for a certain black pantera also, I got pics of it all somewhere, including the broken gimbal on the lavey.

I believe D Ream was also in the boat with Cooper...and passed out after the race in his Hotel...I believe he ened up with a culaps lung from the ejection...

Doc told me that he will be in kw but not with the svl

YES,

not sure who the other guy was, but I was checking the boat out with TimG, and someone came over and gave me a hard time, told me one of the occupants was being taken away in an ambulace, a few minutes later the ambulance showed up. Also, the How Sweet it is/Towboat US Fiasco was at that race I believe. I found the CD's will start a thread with them later or tomorrow. I dont think I got a pic of the gimbal Also found some old pics of TimG's twin 502 Pantera that I took outside Palm Beach inlet around the same time.

OK ladys and gents we have a race!!!!!! I just got back from the Bahamas with family and was out of the loop. Colby has been working on sponsorship to make this happen. Thank you all for helping us race in KW. Trophy confirmed he will leave on Sat. with the rig. Colby and myself will be in Tuesday and ready for Wed. first race. This has been a last min. scrambel to do something we had no plan on doing. I will call JC and pre register to clear everything. Look forward to racing anyone with a canopy single.:cheers2:
