Well there’s the sunny days, bikinis, beautiful beaches, bikinis, cold drinks, bikinis, laid back atmosphere, bikinis, and oh yea there are lots of bikinis. I can see why some people would hate it there! :biggrinjester:

When I first met my wife, about 2 wks after 9/11, on or about the 3rd date I decided I'd have to take her on the boat to see if she could be "the one"..... I would be putting the boat away for the winter in a week or two so I had to get her out there before investing any more time into the relationship. So we spend the day on the boat and she loved it!!! Check that box off!!

Poker Runs, now that's a diffent story.... Took her on the 2002 NYC Poker Run... 5 minutes into the run a 47' GTX comes within 15 ft of my transom crossing my wake, well over 100 mph... Her and my sister braced each other...for me it was a normal start of a poker run, maybe a little added excitement....:ack2: After that experience she has not been to another poker run and has absolutely no interest in attending.... I've tried convincing her that not all runs are like that but she doesn't trust it.... She did agree to go to Key West if/when we could afford it...so I guess that's a goal to aspire for.... lol

Overall she loves the boat and has said she wont let me sell it!! Thank god cause there's a lot of others who aren't as fortunate. After a few years riding on the Panther she started complaining about the ocean and how it was too rough and we were always getting beat up so all she would want to do was stay in the river/bay.... So, thinking out-of-the-box I went out and bought the Apache. :biggrinjester: 5 Minutes into our first ocean run she leaned over and thanked me for buying the boat and I've never looked back since!:26:

She doesn't like going over 75 mph so at about 4000 rpms her right arm (rev limiter) starts kicking in and my left arm begins to develop small bruises.... In a way I guess this stops me from blowing chit up!

Wow, there are actually girls who like doing a Poker Run. Im not that lucky.

My wife not only likes doing Poker Runs but is one of the best damn boat hands anywhere. We did a rendevous this summer with Bobs MTI Speedracer and he couldn't believe her, she is ready with the lines in place and getting the fenders in place before we docked. She also watches everything around like crap traps, boats that get to close and is just a lot of fun to be around. Not only is she pretty but the best wife and friend anyone could ever ask for.
