Think about this, here is a list of most (I am sure I missed somebody) of the canopy cats I can think of that ran in the last year or two.... now imagine if those teams only had two classes to choose from orginally to race in instead of the 8 classes they did race in.

Jim, product support is not hard to provide if demand warranted it. Please remember Craig Colabella used to go to the races with support, Throttle Up did the same and many others have over the years. Will someone follow the circuit for a single customer?

Mercury had a truck there (at the series they wanted to promote) and that truck made $$ for Merc. The power heads, lower units, propellers and such were not free nor were they understood to be so.

We all want to do our part and are willing to do so only if we are given the opportunity to.:bigear:

RIK you are right , if memory serves me right , they quit comming because the promoters were charging them a large fee to come and help the teams, craig and julie would come and help us for FREE, but the promoters got greedy,, again, so why would anybody try to be part of that? I,M SURE there would be 2 or 3 drive companys and 2 or 3 propeller cos ecttt,,, if their wasn,t someone trying to run them off, i agree with you!

You have to read, I know you have issues with that and spelling.

I said, imagine if there was only 2 classes to choose from instead of 8. That meaning, they would build their boat (or a different one) for 1 of 2 classes. We wouldn't have all those different boats now. Just 2 big classes of 20, or 30/10 or 25/15... etc.

I never said put them all in 2 classes. That is the hole that has already been dug. We have to figure out a way to eventually get it to that though.

Hell, one could just set up outside the pit area and service the needs if neccessary.

scott,, rik,s point is they all choose to be different, if they all got on the same page they could push offshore foward faster than any other idea,

The reason venders dont come to races is there is no return on their investment. No company can afford to work for nothing.

i think more would come to show off their products, and help their clients, if they didn,t have to PAY a fee to be their, not sure i,m just guessing ,, i know were going into defense mode, ???? lets don,t i have a lots of examples !:USA:
 
I really think you need to figure out how many classes are currently represented with those boats. Then figure out how many it could reasonably be cut to. If it's 2 or 3 or 4 or????? it really doesn't matter. What matters is a start or reasonable paring of classes.

Even if they just run in the same race with a reasonable restriction to make them somewhat competitive with each other, hand out 6 flags, but put a top gun flag for the heat as well. As Jim has said, the 525 won this time in Vee.....There's your Top Gun for the day....
 
I'm always in Pat we just scratched the surface of that boats potential the shift needs to happen a little quicker but I am all game!!!!

I looked at the data. We need to put a slip # in front of you. When you were on the NO2 and on the bump box at 7900rpm your slip was 63%.......coming out of 1st going into 2nd. You needed to give the prop a chance to hook up. We will get it though.....remember the shifts are syncronized electronicly....:driving: I wanted 7 blade wheels.....

Bro we had way to much transom lift with the 6 blades..... Anyway I think the best prop of the day we had was 5 blade 35..... I really wanted to try a 4 blade just for giggles!!!!:sifone::sifone:
