" Oh Deseree or whatever your real name is, you didnt have to give me a Christmas present. WOW 3 free lap dances!! Thanks Deseree, or whatever your real name is.
I know this time of year is hard on you. Too bad about your mom, being fat and all.
Call 20 of your friends and we can go out on the boat.

Dreamer
Frickin toolbag

I'd much rather have MS than whatever affliction he has. I've never said anything about it, but anyone who treats women with no more respect than that, has a lot worse problems, and most of you who glorify his hookers, wouldn't leave your wife for the lot of them.

Disclaimer: This photo was staged. Please don't drink and drive. :)

LOL. Was that for your Public Service Announcement that you did? :sifone:

I think this thread got a little off topic, maybe we should try to keep it moving in the right direction before it gets locked-down....

I can see both sides to the argument, but let's keep it civil. :cuss:

It didnt start civil so it wont end civil. Back off.

I'm calling out the jerk that says fat people should die.

Either he retracks and apologizes or I'll be the first poster on every thread he starts.

" Hey doc, I got this thing growing on my lip . I think it came off one of the towels on my boat. I can;t have it so I cant show pictures of my face!!!

Wait, maybe it doesn't matter if my face is actually in the picture":sifone:

I hope Clay's mom never develops breast cancer........some people might say, let her die because she had boobs!!!

You people are totally missing the point!

If my mom smoked cigarettes her entire life and then had lung cancer, then I would say that it is her own fault. I would not want the government to pay to keep her alive! She is welcome to pay for her health care out of her own pocket, but I don't want public money spent to keep her alive.

However, if she lives a healthy lifestyle but still get breast cancer, that a different situtation.

All I am saying (OK shouting) is that obese people who have obese related illnesses have caused their own demise. They can pay for their health care out of their own pocket, but I don't want public money spent on them. If this means that they die, then they die!

The same goes for drug addicts, smokers, etc. Don't make me (the taxpayer or the health insurance premimum payer) responsible for your own mistreatment of your body!

Isn't that what insurance is for? To pay for your illness? What if they tell you that they won't pay for your problems because they think that you drink to much? Or are out in the sun too much? "Sorry we won't pay for your skin grafts because you are in the sun on a boat too much". I just think that its a slippery slope down hill.

Do I think that the gov't should give free health care - no. Already Ohio (and other states before it) are moving towards a Managed care model where the patient is only authorized for so much treatment.

And actually that brings up another thought - have you looked at the dollars spent on mental health and alcohol and drug treatment? It's outstanding. How do you feel about paying for treatment for depressed people? Or court ordered alcohol and drug treatment? I guantee you that you are.

I think that the bottom line is that health care money spent period is outrageous and certainly can't be directed at one diagnosis.

I retrack nothing. It's called "Personal Financial Responsibility".

I'm sure that the person who raised you is a wonderful person. If she gets a non-obese illness or injury, then I fell sorry for her.

However, if she is obese and gets a obese related illness, then it's her own fault. And in the case she can pay for her own health care or she can die.

Sorry if I hurt your feelings. It's nothing personal against you or her. Just don't make me may for someone elses poor decisions.

God bless your wretched soul, if you have one.

OK, folks, keep it civil or moderation will unfortunately have to be done here. No personal attacks or this thread gets shot in the head and burried.

I have a little different perspective on health care. I was just diagnosed last Thursday of having MS. I have no health insurance, due to the economy being in the chitter. I don't think that should be a death sentence by any means.

Anyone who thinks it should be, ought to walk a mile in my shoes.

God bless your wretched soul, if you have one.

Cuda, I feel sorry for your illness. I started this thread to complain about people who bring about their own illnesses. You did nothing to cause MS, so this thread is not about people like you.

Good luck to you!

At the health care companies themselves in Grand Rapids, you pay more if you are unhealthy.

They measure your BMI, if it's too high they give you a plan and a goal. If you hit it, your deducted health care cost from your paycheck is reduced, if you don't, it's increased. If you get too bad, you lose your insurance, and maybe your job if it continues to worsen.

If you smoke, you lose your job and your insurance.

If you fail a blood test for drugs, you lose your job and your insurance.

All of these people will be paid for by this new system they are proposing. I believe it should be the same way.

There are reasons communism, and socialism fail. There are reasons nature has checks and balances. So should we.

Back Off? Trying to keep the discussion alive...I don't think Clay's post was that fat people should die, it was more along the lines that there are people out there that are carrying the burden for a lot of people that make bad decision with their own health, who end up not carrying the burden themselves (financially anyways). I don't necessarily agree with that stance (and he certainly could have put it more eloquently) but he brings up a valid point about who should be responsible for paying for healthcare. Healthcare should be available to everyone, but it should not also be free. Where do we find that common ground where it is not only affordable, but available in a timely manner? That’s the question.

Or maybe the next boater who gets tossed out of his boat when his drive blows up shouldn't get treated for his injuries because, after all, he did it to himself.
Or...

Honestly people, this can go on forever. It's a touchy subject. Let's move on, before all hell breaks loose.

Before the thread title was changed by Craig, it did say "fat people need to die."

Hey, would you please let China know they have failed :)
Tell them quickly before they own the world.

The Chinese still call themselves communists, but now they’re also capitalists.

Communist, as in communal? Are you kidding? The gap between China’s rich and poor is turning into a chasm. China’s innovators, investors, and captains of industry are richly rewarded. They live in luxury housing developments whose streets are lined with McMansions. The feed in fancy restaurants, and relax in five-star hotels and resorts. China’s poor live in a different world. Mao Tse Tung would turn in his grave.

But, we are getting off topic... :p

Discuss thoughts, ideas etc all you want. character assassination will not be tolerated here. I spent a lot of time last weekend shaking hands and talking up the site to many people who have not been here. I did NOT invite people to the site too see personal attacks. This thread needs to be cleaned up, if for no other reason than out of respect for the people who are working to make this place grow and thrive.

They are suceeding because our government decided we should send them our money. Much better than manufacturing things here....:ack2:
