GM, well it's almost lunch time, Barb do you know the guy that has the thread on refurbing the big 46" Cig, he also had the thread on the big waves on Lake Erie this past weekend. Where in OH is he from, I was trying to figure out if I met him at any of the LEOPA events. I knew the waves would be wicked, sure was glad we decided not to take the boat to the bay for the LEOPA Tadsen Tea Party.
Anyone buy their summer annuals yet, just bought about 10 flats at the farmers market early this morning. By this weekend I will be in full overdrive planting everything. Funny thing happened to me on Tuesday night, it was dusk and I had just planted a few shrubs in the seawall garden. The wall is made of large rocks and rises about 5’ up from the water. I was using a bucket of lake water on the plants, and was straddling, crawling, and climbing up and down the rocks. About 10 min. after thinking how awful it would be to fall in, I DID, I rolled down over the rocks and landed under the water on my side. Ian was not home, it was almost dark and no one was around, so I was lucky I did not knock my self out; I am a little bruised and scraped but still got to finish planting the last bush.
It is so windy today, it must be blowing 30-40 MPH, last night around 3 AM we had the loudest thunder, it sounded like a sonic bomb, louder than I have ever heard, it only was about 3 large booms, but then the lightening went on for almost an hour and it was extremely bright. Is it just me or does it seem like the wind has been strong for the last several years, it seems like every poker run last summer had huge waves.
