Shoes are important. Plus do you want to wear the same ones all day or change for the reception. The ballet slippers are perfect for the reception. Wished they had those as a wedding accessory when I married back in '83.

Limo or no limo???

Your showers will be during boating season. No way around that since the wedding is in October. You could wait until early Septemer (after Labor Day) to have it/them.

I'm going shoe shopping this Sunday while my realtor is having an open house at my condo. What else ya got!? :sifone:


Limo is not in my budget. Tony wants one but he may have to pay for it himself.

My friends are going to give me mine the Saturday of the weekend that my family does that one (on Sunday). that way I only have to miss one weekend. Also, my friends are great. They're skipping all the stupid game stuff. My maid of honor is having us over to her house, we'll do the gifty thing then head to the bars. So it'll be like a night out with presents!

Hopefully I can talk Tony's family into doing theirs the Sunday of a weekend that we have to go to another wedding in Sept (Tony's in it so we can't skip). That way I can combine weekends.

I just wish that someone would bring up the shower plans so that I can get the weekends scheduled. I know it sounds rude, but my summer is filling up and I'd just like to get it planned and know what weekends I'll be busy.

meeting with my florist this weekend

To do:
get Tony measured and tux picked out
invitations
meet with music guy from church
finish meetings with priest
plan rehearsal dinner (because his parents are out of town)


What am I missing?

It's kind of a so-so day. Not feeling sassy at all.

Having dinner with a two girlfriends tonight that I worked with back in 1981. We have dinner a few times a year so I'm looking forward to that. I can drink. :sifone: Not that I need an excuse for that.

By the way, Megan is having surgery on April 8. Thank you all for your prayers. It was precancerous cells, but she's going to be fine and they will monitor her for the next year. I'll be heading down and watching my grandson so I'm excited to see him. I'm excited to see my daughter too, but I hear Espen talking when she calls me and I can't wait to see how big he's gotten.

Actually that was Randy (Jetjock) who bought the Curtis KV. You would have to talk to him about the model. He's been try'n to get'm to give it up for some time now.

That was my plan!! The girl said she couldn't (Parents + Aunts/Uncles/Cousins = 72!!) but we did decide on a simple wedding. Tommy Bahama / Habana Joe theme- flip flips, 15 min I do's, pleanty of eatin/drinkin. Every thing I hate in a wedding is not going to happen- dressing up, lighting candle, Mass, singing, flowers, etc. Everyone goes for the reception so let's get to that quick!
