Personal Boating Disasters

personal boating disasters??

I bought a powerboat, since that day I have been broke, busted my knuckles up several times, had the fberglass itchy/scratchies and have become an alcoholic. I have also been overcome with the "I need a bigger faster boat" syndrome. I have a feeling once I finish school it will get worse, MUCH worse.

You think you got disasters on hand??/ I got 3 major disasters to deal with . YOu want one of them ?? :03:

Hit a roller one day and wound up on the starboard gunnel on the way down. Hit just right at the bulkhead in front of the helm and caused this little mishap. Luckily, no one was with me. Last pic is after the repair. Couldn't even tell.
Before everyone jumps on the beer cans, the boat stayed at a friends lakehouse overnight and became the designated trash can.

I had a Stryker like yours. Mine spent more time on the bottom than a cat fish. This pic was at a junkyard about 4 years after I sold it. Guess the new owner had the same luck with it.

Was that boat in TX? Looks familiar. What was the reason it was always on the bottom?

On the flip side......AWESOME little boat that hauled azz with a stock 330. Mine would run right at 73 at 4600rpm w/ me alone.

good movie. actually the first actual "date" I had as a kid was to see it. she turned into a lesbian. gave a pretty good blow job for a lesbian though.

Last lesbian I went on a date with had a beaver that went up to her belly button... I had to imagine me having sex to stay in the mood... :D

I'm going to get my dad to send me some pictures of the melted brass props from our burned up '64 Chris when I get a chance...

10 years ago a buddy wanted to go with us to Nothport(est. 25 miles across Lake Michigan). We got there in good weather and had lunch.Got back in the boats and headed home.Got caught in 6-7ft swells. The waves would pick you up then drop you like a bag of rocks.Yep,he had a 22ft Bayliner, before we got back to Charlevoix he smelt gas.He pulled his engine cover up,the bottom of the boat was full of gas.The good old Bayliner cracked the gas tank and all brackets. We got him back to the ramp with some quick thinking. The Ins. company paid the $7500. repair. Then he sold it a year later for $5500.00.

I did get it from a guy in Texas, back in 1999. I had a leaking thru hull that sent to the bottom the first time. Next, I hit a submerged log and knocked off the drive....glubglub. Then the boot tore and that was enough for me. It was a crazy fast boat for what it was. It had a 454 built by Ferrar engines, Gill exaust running over the swim platform. It was just bad luck. Looks like the last owner had the same bad luck hince the junk yard pic.

So, it sounds like there IS something to Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection.

I think that's the same boat I'm thinking of. The guy who owned it at that time bought it as an ins salvage because it was sunk then, too. Sounds like that boat was destined for a life under, instead of on top of the water.
