Need a little help

Let's get the email address up so we can all start requesting this be addresed now!!! Who can set up a link for all to send our concerns and requests?

The governor's office in Tallahassee. I think I posted the phone number earlier in this thread.

so put the electric in cuda's name for a month or 2, thats just a phone call, or give $2.00 a month rent...thats actually paying rent, now a notarized letter saying that he is a paying renter and all utilites are included in rent.

Sorry I can't be of more help, the best I can offer is a chiropractor in Bradenton

I don't have a month or two. It sounds like my best bet so far is to go to Jackson Memorial in Miami, or to Shands in Gville. They both have the gamma knife. I think I'll go to Shands ER, become overwhelmed by a throbbing headache, and just happen to have my medical records with me. I don't think they can refuse when you go to the ER. I'll fight with them later about the bill.

No matter how you boil it all down, in nearly every aspect of life, it's about the money.

Did Wayne State say no? Or does it take too long to go through the wait period?

I think the politicians may have read your sig line...:)

Keep pushing. Do you think a bunch of emails from all over the US would help push your case? If so, maybe we all can help.

I think I'm just going to try the ER at Shands first. All they can say is no.

Damn dude.. it sucks that you have to jump through so many hoops to get something like this done.. I wish you luck!!!

I had an appointment with a neurologist Monday (was diagnosed in Oct). She said the probably the best bet was to go to the ER at Shands. I'm going to go next Monday.

Good luck. Anything we can do, let us know..

I asked the neurologist if she's like to go with me to Shands. I told her she would get a lot more attention that than I would for two reasons:
1) She's a doctor
2) She's a stone fox! :)

She told me I was making her blush. I asked her if she had looked in a mirror lately!

I just read through this thread..Im very sorry for your condition and wish I could offer more than support..Our prayers are with you Joe. Jeff and Sandy

Geeze! Then at ten am this morning, I had two state troopers, one sheriff, and a lady from the driver's license office pull up to see if I was able to drive! It's all because I've been bugging the governor's office. One cop was a real *****. I was standing outside just about to feed my dogs when they pull in the street. When he asked if I had any weapons, I should have asked him what he needed. The deputy never said a word, and the other trooper was nice, but when that other ***** said he wanted to go inside, I told him no. Not unless he had a warrant! Fuking asswipe, he really ****ed me off. They acted like they had John Dilinger cornered here or something.

Florida or not, I'm going to keep my mouth shut, until after I get in Shands, the it's on!

They were talking that I may have to take the driver's test again, something I did on my 16th birthday. The term for what the acoustic neuroma does, is called ataxia, which basically means I walk like a drunk, it hasn't affected my driving, or my thought process. She asked if I knew what date it was, and if I knew who the president was. Then I signed a release that said they could get my medical records from the neurologist. I just had to run up to my bank, and the neurologist office is about a block from there. I got a copy of her report, and nowhere in the report does it say it would affect my abilty to drive. If they can require me to prove I can still drive, they should require everyone in the state to prove it, otherwise it's arbitrary, and capricious (lawyer speak).

Ps: I recinded the release of my medical records from the neurologist while I was there.
