Who's Powerplay is this??

We need to bring these back..

Yes we do...... :26: :sifone:

I have rode a few times in the 38 here in Maryland at our Marina, it is a Beautiful boat and the ride is excellent (800 N/A MDG engines Konrads A/C and a Gennie)... I have told this story ten times at least, I wish they would of kept making them so there would be several more on the used market... I have stated in several threads the SECOND my 400SS pulls away from the Dock with a new owner I will be calling the 38 Powerplay owners that are for sale to see if they want to deal!!!!

Steve.. That's right.. you were involved in that mold. Can you explain the bottom and how she works..PP has some of the straightest molds Ive seen.. especially the 33.. I was told Boscoe worked on the mold every-time a 33 came out of it.. I remember one year though.. looking at a 38, and it was different, I believe it had outboards. It was in the water at one of the shows.. wasn't very straight, dark colored, and wasn't the legendary PP straight hull that I came accustomed to. We need to bring these back..

Nothing was spared doing Danny's tooling!

Building the 38 Mold system was a deal I made before going overseas the last time...... This Hull Mold received a Clear Tooling Gelcoat for shine properties and the avoidance of Pigment then the Colour backup.

I was using a Dow 470-36 Resin in those days (Novalic High Cross link) so whatever was going to happen as for shrinkage goes would happen right away instead of 6 months down the road,

Then the core was Bagged on and a balanced Laminate was done on the outside of the sandwich.

Fully Piped with a 3" Spine and Balanced so one Man could turn it while on the trunions.

Same as the New 33 hull Mold I did in 94 but it got a single colour Black and double coated again One Person could rotate it. Bosco ?? I do not think he could tell the molds apart let alone do any work on them.

As for a hull with imperfections it would NEVER be sold Period and never be a Powerplay. The 38 could go Black if needed it was that straight.

The way I remember:

Joker got the 38 running plug and made a mold
Sunsation got a hull and cut it and stecthed it (pic attached)
Tom Mason/Pat Sullivan/PMT/ Outdrives.com have 33 and 38 molds
