Getting ready to leave for the Pier to watch the boats take off. Not sure if I will make it across to the party. Too much work the next couple weeks. Coincidentally it slowws way down the night before first Friday and I believe there is an event that weekend. It WILL be party time that weekend.

Boats, computers.. are like woman.

Damn these boats.. Ready to go at the docks. Trimmed up the drive, in the water we go, start motors. NOTHING... as soon as I hit the ignition, I hear a small chirp under the dash and nothing. No trim, no outdrive trim. no ignition, fraking nothing, Gauges, ok Stereo OK. lights ok. nothng mechanical working. After 4 hours of playing and trying to get it going. Nothing. OK. go back home. Covering the boat up, tried the trim. Tha damn thing works. motors turn over. everything OK>
WTF??//
Some relay or celenoid chit.
I hate these elcetrical bugs.

And of course I missed lunch.

GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRrrr

I only saw 1 boat in or near the basin. A Fountain. My daughter took some pics of it but nobody else. Hopefully the party had a great turnout.

I assumed this boat was going. Pulled in to the basin a little before 3. Hung out for nearly an hour then headed south.

Peter sounds like you may have a loose connection pull the plugs apart and and reconnect and put some of the electrical grease on the plugs!!!!

THanks

I pulled a doz plugs apart. fuses. relays.. nothing worked. Once we got home. Everything worked.
Took it out yesterday, everything worked fine. Sort of. At least the electricals. I don't want to talk about hitting something. (lobster trap I think) now I got a shared off skeg, and port header heating up melting rubber hoses.
:(
GGGRRRRRRRRRRrrrrr

Some days, I should just sleep it away and never, and don't even get out of bed. Expensive day for sure.

Sorry to hear that, Peter?:(

How was the water down there? It was pretty rough up here. We went out both days, and it was pretty snotty Sunday. Fun water. :D

Pretty nice ride down to Clearwater. A few good size swales from the wind, but nothing bad. Everything was fine and nice, untill I smelled some rubber burning smell when I get to Clearwater. I realized that the Port header, port motor was not getting enough water and got hot. Engine temp was ok.
I saw that I hit something when I pulled the boat out. Shared half the keg right off. Pretty devistaing day. But the seas were nice. :)

Sorry Peter I should have been more specific it was probably the main engine harness as pretty much everything works through that.....

Thanks Sean, but I'm confused.
Twin motors. So pretty much two of everything. Yet, when I had the problem, nothing worked on either system. I would thing if one harness has some problem, the other side should be ok. What's common to both ignition system?. Battery switch ? I have no clue, but it's working now. It's one of those elecric Gremlins. :ack2:
