Man! I appreciate the invite, but I have my client coming with me. Friday night we have tix and good seats for the Redwings game. My client played semi pro. I suspect we will be catching a little of the ballet as well.

We will be at the Westin Detroit Metro Airport. I don't know what time we get in Thursday night, but if anyone is near there and wants to get a cocktail there or nearby, PM me your number. I will give you a ring.

And Detroit's murder rate doesn't bother me. I am a regular in New Orleans and have an apartment in the French Quarter. Detroit is where our gangsters go to vacation and get away from all the crime.

Im about ten mins from the airport. Give me a pm when you get in. There is plenty to do when you get here. Downtown can get a bit shady at night. But since your gonna be around the airport there are more than a couple of pretty entertaining places to visit

Like I said, seeing a game at JLA is an experience, and then the Canadian Ballet has plenty of talent - please report back with pics.

I can only remember one killing at the Airport Westin. So you should be good.

Might be able to get in on a welcome drink.

Weeeelll. Isn't that nice. Found out the flight was 2 1/2 hrs earlier than I was told - barely made it on the plane. Unfortunately, we connect through Houston which is having a terrific storm and we cant get in so I haven't even left yet. Been on the Tarmac for an hour sweating and have only gotten one cocktail. Also looks incredibly unlikely that I will make the connection in Houston. :ack2:

That sucks. That's one of my worst nightmares, considering I don't really fit on planes. They kind of wedge me in and push my knees under the metal rod that forms the top of the pocket in the seat in front of you.

We finally made it. Done with work and eating at Andiamo. Great so far. Martinis help. I think our server is puzzled by how much we ordered, but she doesn't know our training ground.

Andiamo's in Dearborn, or Downtown? Either way not a bad place to eat.

I still recommend eating some middle eastern food while you are near Dearborn if you've never had it.

My cousin was a doctor at an ER in New Orleans. He got a lot of practice there.
