The Post Office is going to downsize with an early out offer, restructure of staff and layoffs, yes layoffs by spring probably.


We are cutting too much for a service company. We need to break even but lately we are lossing way too much money 2 billion plus due to gas prices

I was involved in a conversation with one of the managers of how an employee had a heart attack during the communication of the actual reduction actions, but the "postal" thing hadn't come to mind.

This is my first post on SOS...and no this does not suck, good job to the founders.

This Sucks

Had to work on a list today with criteria on the reduction in staff for the facility. This will be almost a 20% reduction (27 people), it includes single mom's and people that I have worked with for the past 6 years. I really hope the economy takes a turn in the right direction. Just working out the plan on how we are going to orchestrate the communication without causing a panic.


This Sucks...and very sad.

tomorrow is the day

Tomorrow we let go of 13 people, 10% of our staff. Quick meetings scheduled from 11:00 til 12:30 and escort them out the door. The DHL trauma today had everyone in a panic, because we were unsure of how this would affect our shipments. And I'm thinking about all of the oblivious souls that are going to go through the reductions tomorrow. So sad for the economy and how this is going to affect peoples lives.
