Well, I did it. I'm now a desert rat.

They live in your new neighborhood. Smallish flat lizard of the iguana family who is harmless to humans and a vegetarian. Related to James Carville. But more harmless. :D

When the Chuckwalla is threatened, it crawls between the rocks and puffs itself up to wedge itself in. That's its one trick. Ironically... when threatened, the rare James Carville also uses hot air. :D

:D:D:D

Good stuff.......

This was in Fountain Hills today.
Not surprised if the mountain tops get snow, but it's not common in the valley

Things are coming along, I think everything is done except for the final paper signing.
Planning on moving the second or third weekend of February.

I was out there last night, and I met the neighbors behind me. Nice couple in their late sixties. The sun was setting, and the mountain was glowing a pinkish/red from the sunset, and they told me that they have a saying "When the mountain is pink, it's time to drink", and asked what I was drinking.
They handed me a beer, and I just had to say "I'm gonna fit right in out here".:cheers2:

I need a headcount of who all is coming out here to help me move so I know how much food and beer to buy.
Come on' - who wouldn't want to get away to Arizona in Mid February when the weather sucks every where else.:sifone:

If you ruin another sip of beer tonight I'm NOT coming...lol

Count me IN! (I know your far from Tuscon) although I think your rubbing it in, just a little...If this is an open invite I think I'm going to have to count myself in... I envy you, ok I said it!...lol

I'll buy the beers

Tucson is only 2 hours away. Out here that is a normal commute to any type of specialty store.
The wife spent the evening shopping for a new fridge to keep all the beer cold.

Open invite?? OF COURSE!!
Any of my Offshore friends - and especially those that don't mind moving some furniture.
Truth is, the more I look around this place, the more chit I'm throwing out instead of moving...

I need to have a new tin-foil hat sized.
I think there is a guy right down the street that makes them.
I don't want to fool around with an amateur version.

Just remember, if you go with a brim... you'll need a chimney. ;) :cheers2:
