Loren isn't the type of guy to do anything lightly, everything was kept if he decided to return it back original. Heck, its fiberglass, no different that one that was hurt in a wreck or had a hull split...

I would own any boat that was his,no questions asked, than some of the others listed in classifieds.

any knotch will allow you to run a higher X without blow-out and sorta acts as an extension box. but is also shortens the running surface at the same time.

Bobby had explained to me a while back his reason for not putting a knotch on my boat.

Yup...but almost all of the 41's were just a little different. Small production numbers,custom boats and if Ben didn't like you....you would NEVER get a boat.

And with all due respect to Lorne and his accomplishments, I cringe when I see that thing. Aside from that, I couldn't imagine riding up there at 60+ mph. Below 60, that Apache lope would beat you up pretty quickly. So it's usable at just above plane.

Because the 17 degree angle broke the trim rams on the #3's more than the 11 degree current transom

here is a few question for you Apaches enthusiasts! 1) Why on the Banner Boat and Warpath was the exhaust routed above the transom, while on the later boats it is through the transom?

which one is better in rough water and or for racing? Did this change have a huge impact on performance?

Personally I like the more radical one which seems to have run better but I am sure that I will hear about this one from some of the latter Apache fans!!!!

With all he has done for Apaches he can do whatever he wants.

I don't care what you have or don't; bowrider Apache is just plain wrong IMHO but it's his boat and obviously he can and did what he wanted with it.
