Very Exciting News

Razor.
I raise it. The boat razors it. :D

See what? I see that different people reacted to this thread differently. I think that it is spam too. I just didn't see the need to call you names or make fun of your boat. If you were to be completely honest with yourself, you would probably see how your reactions influenced the opinions of others in a negative way.
I really didn't mean to become so involved though. I'll bid the thread farewell with two words of critical importance to any salesman: Dale Carnegie.

I don't have time to read all about the company but if it is direct marketing and you sell a product like Avon does then there is really nothing wrong with that type of marketing. I might be missing something but to me that is not a Pyramid. I realize some companies are more about getting other people below you to sell, but some like Avon, MaryKay, and Lia Sophia jewelry really sell products so it's not fair to lump them in with Pyramid schemes.

In reference to when you say Trump endorses your company, is he doing that for free because he loves it, or do you really mean the company pays him to be a spokesperson. Our local low end furniture chain sells a line of D. Trump mattresses which leads me to think for money he will put his name on various products. Also product placement is a big deal in movies and in TV shows, there are add agencies that do nothing but that type of advertising. So to get a Trump show dedicated to your company, does Trump have to think you are the best, or is your company just the one that paid the highest add fee. All that said you might be selling an excellent product but please don't try to get us to believe that D Trump is doing this out of the goodness of his heart just because he likes the product. Now if you said Ophra likes it...... LOL as much as that woman gets to me, I think she often promotes something just because she really likes it.

please don't delete this thread, we are all smart enough to make our own decisions, plus the thread starter was a member here before he started this, so to me that's not spam, you might not like his product or his way of promoting it but I don't think it's true spam.

Thank You for your honesty..

Honestly I don't know if he's paid or not! I do know that him and his family has the video phone that we market..

And your so right this is a legit company that gives us the tools to market services that everyone uses everyday, just like the companies that you mentioned..

on a side note I don't want to ever use a video phone, LOL I work from home and some of my outfits and lack of attention to getting all made up are not fit for human viewing:blush5: I talk mostly talk to men all day long and want them to imagine I am a young hot thang working in skimpy Victoria Secret attire:boobflash::rofl:

LMAO!! I wouldn't say never!! What about if you had parents or relatives in a different state, or a son over in Iraq that you rarely get to see!! You can ship them one of these phones and all they gotta do is plug it into the internet and they can call u for only 1.99 a month!!

There is a privacy button on the phone btw which blocks what people see, and it does have 3way video conferencing for when you need it in a business situation, 6way conferencing is coming soon! This phone is a real phone with video option, you can plug your main cordless set into it and every cordless handset will work in your house.. plus its a digital photo frame when not in use!! Pretty cool technology!

LOL never is a big word, but I have no kids, no grandkids, only one niece and my parents are in their mid 80's and not interested in gadgets and hate the computer so in this case never might apply. But I certainly understand how a lot of people would love that for $1.99 a month, sounds very cool I will look forward to seeing the show,

Congrats on getting the exposure on NBC (and SOS).

With all the discussion about pyramids...I can't believe the MONSTER from my area has yet to be mentioned...
About once a week I drive past AMWAY's (now officially Alticor, but anyways..) World Headquarters:)

At least the DeVos family is incredibly philanthropic. And I am not talking send a T shirt, kick in a few grand for a party or sponsor a 5 grand raffle.

I am talking hospitals, performance halls, schools, universities, field houses, scholarships.

Well for what its worth the charity of the company's choice is The Ronald Mc'donald house! And they have donated /contributed well into the 7 digits at all the local chapters that we hold conventions in, actually they match whatever we contribute so it's a great feeling knowing were helping kids and families that really do need it.. Not to mention the one they helped build in there home town of Concord NC.

Our world head quarters used to be in Detroit till about 3 yrs ago! It's in Concord NC. now with offices also in Amsterdam, Korea, Sydney and Montreal..

Each chapter donates a hundred grand here or a hundred grand there to a corporate charity. Very nice. No question. At one event, Donald Trump even pitched in to get to the hundred grand.

However, it's apples and oranges in that none of the principals of the ACN MLM is in any way comparable to the DeVos family in terms of philanthropic depth and scope, as the DeVos family foundation has been making multi-million dollar grants since 1970 and now averages 25 million dollars per year in grants.

But hey... I'll step out of this issue of charity, as I really don't know too much about it. :)

Not trying to take away from both (Van Andels and Devos) family's generousity, but living so close by I get to see another angle too...
The businesses they run accept a HUGE amount of public $$ too.
A TON of tax revenue supports their ventures and they grow their profits and personal fortunes from those "investments".
The hospitals and venues they own ARE business ventures which they do PROFIT from greatly.
Is the area better off from this happening here? Yes and no debating that. But is "charity" the same as an investment? Charity is a gift with no return. The majority of what has their names plastered on it generate a ton of income and adds to their millions. Many employees of their medical enterprises are not as happy as they were prior to Spectrum's monopolizing the area's care.
They do an awful lot of good, and again, I do not mean to detract from that, or sound ungrateful; BUT most everything they do serves them as well (or better) than any others.

Health Care Philanthropy: The majority of named health care centers are named for enormous gifts. They are not typically owned by the person being commemorated, and in fact, the original donor is often deceased. Many times, the gifts are pledged multi-year or planned estate gifts.

The broad majority of hospitals make 1-3% "income" and must illustrate a community benefit.

Charity is a gift with no return:
Charity comes in many forms. In the popular book, The Seven Faces of Philanthropy seven archetypical donor types are discussed: The Communitarian, The Devout, The Investor, The Socialite, The Repayer, The Altruist, the Dynast.

A Charitable Gift Annuity, Charitable Remainder Trust, Life Estate or a Charitable Remainder Unitrust have donor benefits but are charity. Currently, a direct disbursement from a qualifying IRA to a 501 c 3 can be made without tax for gifts up to $100,000. That could be a federal tax savings benefit of 28% plus no 10% penalty. Meanwhile, the donor gets the deduction up to $100,000 and avoids paying tax on that income, ever. That's clearly something in return. Some donors get special tours, special ceremonies, and special commemoration within an organization.

However, in accordance with IRS pub 1771, a donor must be given a written disclosure when they have received goods or services in exchange for a single payment in excess of $75.00. So, the IRS likes to know what those various benefits are, when tangible.

Or something. :)
