TV Show looking for Locations.....

Lake Norman NC is also a great boating lake. I to would be interested to learn more about the project, and am a little concerned with your apprehensiveness to simply tell us who you are, and who you represent. Makes you sound less than legit.

All he's asking for is some good boating locations.....maybe he's from the National Chamber of Commerce and scouting for locals to give their opinions of their area.
And maybe he hasn't responded right away because HE HAS ANOTHER LIFE.

sorry........I'm going to mine:seeya:
PD

I'd just like to hear more of what he's got going on, thats all.

As far as boating goes, I loved Lake Erie - Put-in-Bay, Kelly's Island.
Only problem was the season was short.

Skepticism? What - does he need to apply for a press pass? Is he asking someone to underwrite their show? Even if it's a guy with a video camera who loves boats and boating...who cares! Just give him a few suggestions. :)

:

he is lookin for "best boating locations" not your credit card #

We do take it very seriously, pun intended. We want to protect our members first. That's always first.

And, then we will help all we can to make his venture a success, including assistance with rides etc., if he is an entity trying to promote Offshore Boating. So, before we jump in to assist, we ask. Nothing wrong with that.

I think that this was a great way to explain it.

Welcome new members. :)

Thank You everyone for responding. We Have been fortunate enough to bend the ear of a cable network. We are shooting three pilots. The show is going to based on boating and the boating community. Being Avid boaters we are always looking for that weekend road trip or a great spot to spend a summer vacation. I personally grew up in Florida in a boating family. What I have found through the years is there are a lot of great places to boat. However, the majority of the places that I have been to, have been due to the advice of a fellow boater.
As boaters as members of the boating community we would like to share our journey with others.
I hope this makes the skeptics feel more at ease. At this time we are looking to travel to Austin TX. for the fourth of July weekend, Muscamoot bay Mi. the weekend of august 8th "Raft Off"(over 3500 boats I'm told) LOTO in Sept. For the Offshore races.
We are looking to meet interesting people that can show us around, the best local hangouts, best places to stay, fun restaurants, best spots to boats, events, etc

I think you would find any OPA race a little more photogenic, if only due to numbers. Obviously they also have actual offshore racing at Patchogue NY, Point Pleasant NJ, and in Ocean City Maryland (likely in October) just a thought. Also you really need to do the Chesapeake Bay, it puts all the others to shame for size and diversity, in fact you would need to drill down to one of several areas just to be able to get a feel for the action.

Come run around with the E Dock crowd on Grand Lake in Oklahoma for a weekend! You will get to ride in as many as 7 or so major brand Cats, awesome vee's, as well as hang at some cool bars/restaurants at night. We also have some good sized cruisers to relax on with the chicks, while the cats play around, or tie up for the afternoon.

It's great times for sure! :cheers2:
