I ran in that race Modified Out government Cut to Bimini and back then to fowery and back to the Cut!

The photo shows the famous team of Bobby & Jack.

Bobby & Jack's was the best rigging shop in the sport. Jack came from California and introduced new things in the rigging business like anodizing of parts in the engine room. His big talent was drivng SK and Enduro boats. He was the named driver of Mike Gordon's Fish Peddler Rayson Craft for many years. The lifejacket he is wearing here is the jacket he wore in the SK boats.

What else can be said about Bobby Moore? The first throttleman in the sport, the first of many innovations in rigging. He won more world championships for his drivers with all kinds of boats, Deep Vees, Cats, Aluminum, etc.

Funny about the date on the PR release....May 78. That was the month they rolled that 38 Scarab just under the St Petersburg Bridge. Jack broke his arm, Billy Martin was runnng right behind them and swung by to make sure everyone was out and then took off again.

Tough racers. Joey just passed away last year from cancer. RIP

I'd have to go back through the posts on OSO. I though that Brownie, Richie Powers or Charlie guesstimated it's identity with some confidence, but I don't remember what boat it was.

Yes....it is Conspiracy. This was the boat that was raced by Michael Allweiss' father.

I have some photos of that boat, when I get back to RI, I will post them...beautiful lines the 35 really came alive with that windshield that was on this boat and Billy's Bounty Hunter II.
