When I typed it, I was trying to think of a term to describe the random things that total strangers and people who are not involved in a situation find on the internet and throw on the pile as "fact." (whether or not they are factual, truthful, recent, or relevant. How can they know?)

After your post, I googled "google truths" and found that it has been in use for a while by the computing world. I'll have to find a new term.
