I think we should make this into a reality show and offshore racing would be saved from all the proceeds that are generated because OCC doesn't have dick on this!!!!!

IF I SAID YOU NEED 5 TO GET PAID, RIGHT NOW THERE IS NO CLASS with 5, so i don,t pay,,, if i said there is 4000 in a purse for your class, hold your breath , i,ll think of something? lets see most org,s show up with 20 boats and 30 classes??? rules are a big problem , everyone wants to run classes where ther are know rules, we want to own and run a series but we don,t want the responsabilty of having to enforce anything, bring 20 boats show up ,,,,, cut them loose,,,,, give me my check,,,,,let me get out of here??? you cant, trust anyone in offshore right now,, you can,t get a sponsor without being willing to LIE to them,, tv o no tv,,,, schedule o no schedule,,,, purse o no purse,,, BUT FEES OOOOOO WE GOT FEEES, what does this mean ???? only with television and a sponsors ROI, return on investment, will there be no fees. Television in an absolute must have. get a sponsor and then tell them how they will get a return on investment. the door is open for us to unite and work together. we must or never grow. hell we joined sbi after all.

The "problem" is simple. My flag is different than yours. You have an oppertunity to race under the OPA flag as I have under SBI. With OSS effectively gone, the only way I see it happening is if OPA and SBI adopt the same rules and classes, 1-6 plus spec. SBI is the Southern division and OPA the Northern. Name reginional champions and then meet in the middle of the country for an Overall Champion. It needs to be in the middle of the two districts to get as many teams as possible, sorry but KW is too far and too expensive for the majority of boats. Fees will not be the same accross the districts as long as JC owns SBI, so those down south will have to deal with that.

You hit one of the nails on the head. The reality is that most of the bracket racing teams can't afford cross country travel. If I lived in Florida, I would run SBI. Not because I think they are better than OPA, but I don't have the budget for that much travel. As things stand now, I don't see the necessity of bracket racing under one flag as most teams will stay within their region anyway. The best we could hope for is rules alignment.
As far as the other classes, that is a different can of worms that needs to be addressed by the teams that race in them..
Since I run a class 6 boat I would like to see SBI have a class 6. However, that doesn't mean I would race in any SBI races, since, as I stated earlier, the travel distance would be an issue. At least if there was a class 6, I might consider doing NY.
Any reunification really needs to address the big classes. Bracket racing, for the most part, is doing OK.

What is class 6 ?? 70 MPH ??? now come on we both know the boat runs 80 !!
And P-5 is 75 MPH.
