If everyone knew how to do it EVERYONE would have a racing association.:sifone: Everybody is hurting, times are real tough. I know if I weren't fuc$ed up this year I don't think I would have been able to race because business is off. Guy's, Race where ever you want to race and where you get the best bang for your $$$$$$$$$.

hay augie how ya dooing glad your comming along well , i know things are ruff out there know matter what the vig is ? i had a great time in patchog, ,,, i never seen so much traffic on a 5 lane hiway at 9 oclock at night. leaving long island ??? where were all those people going sun night? i got lucky and followed a white 24 ft out ( i think coutler trailer team) down to jersey. be strong my friend and get well, exsersize !!!!!! george jr.:seeya:

Hey Augie nice to see you on here again hope your recovery is speedy and great.....Sorry to get everyone's dander up in arms!!!!!! As I said I have the utmost respect for you and Smitty and the effort you have put forth to bring great heads up racing back to offshore!!!!

Has anything changed in your SBI org. with there TV deal? heard it may never hit the air. Wish I could stay and chat but I have to work on my race boat for a OSS race in LOTO.

Ouch that hurt, couldnt you come up with something better than that? Good luck to you in LOTO and hope you make 25 boats so OSS can get paid, I guess if not it'll be a wasted trip for ya. Have you thought about a pontoon class? Oh and please while your at it, with you guys announcing Speed channel, make sure to pay off the $80,000 that is owed to them from the last association that you were loyal to that went belly up. They just wont broadcast offshore racing till thats paid off.

Since we're back at it again, please dont put on me on another list, like when you put me on the list for questioning Jupiter? You know that tore me up and I couldnt fathom the thought of being put on any more lists by you, it crushes me:kiss:

Do we pass up this opportunity to make a difference while we wait for the "Great Unification"?
Someday we will all race under one banner for people we all respect who have rules in place we all agree upon. Thirty boats will compete in each of three classes and we will all have the time and sponsorship money to travel the continent end to end March to November.

Someday someone will lead us there and no one will be happier than me.

The conversation keeps turning back to the orgs. If there is going to be 3 classes which 3 are they. That may prove to be more difficult than how the orgs work together.

A reasonable person could surmise there will never be 30 extreme boats. So that leaves a difficult decision. The biggest coolest aren't in. Ouch, but it is time to get real. Now another tough choice. Currently the largest classes participating are classes 4 5 6. But of them only a few are willing or able to travel in all regions of the country.

I suspect everybody wants to be included. So now comes the unification part. How do you blend the numerous classes with a boat or two into something everyone is willing to participate in? Some will blend easily others not so much. Do you have an open call on existing classes? The classes that show 10 teams or more willing to do a full season stay? Those that don't merge die or exist as regional. That is a tough call.

Then there is the course structure. Open longer course take the emphasis away from top speed. Should 750/ 850 , extreme cat and V's compete against each other as one. Will they? Can they consolidate in such a way that everyone wants to participate?

How does it shake out? Regional champs. High point champs, National series Champs.....

No easy answers.

Guys, if you want to bash something that has happened, or is happening, can you please put up the reason why and what you think can be done to improve? I understand loyalty's, I'm glad all of you have them. I've driven GM products my entire life, and now that the Feds own them, am having a tough time considering ever buying another. So, dare I say try for constructive criticism so we can stay out of the messes that have gone nowhere in the past?

There are currently four orgs, (we forget about POPRA out west), how they work together, or consolidate, or ?????? is tough. But, never forget, we are talking about a sport we all love to participate in, watch, and talk about.

How do you blend the numerous classes with a boat or two into something everyone is willing to participate in?

There are currently 37 classes I came up with between all orgs. 30 of those are unique in one way or another. I have those 30 on a Excel spread sheet if anyone is interested. Just PM or email me your email address. Trent already has it and has been reviewing it.

I am also willing to update it, or correct it, with any errors you see. It was tough reading all the rules for classes. Some differences are extremely small.
