Ok looks like we have some participants so this is my recommendation of how to handle this. I have spoken with Doug Grimaldi and he has graciously agreed to handle the funds through his pay pal account. I chose Doug because he has stepped up to the plate and made some very generous donations and is a third party. His pay pal account is arushracing@yahoo.com. The account accepts all cards with the exception of amex. In the event we do not raise enough money or for some unforeseen reason Typhoon can not attend the race we will return the funds promptly.

I think it would be Gary. I would also take Mike or split it up either way is OK with me their both fast so they can decide who goes.

Concerning what would count as the race. Unless one day is clearly rougher I think you would be creating a situation subject to interpretation after the fact on what was the roughest day. No matter how it works out I think those watching will come to their own conclusions.

We have started making some preliminary arrangements and Colby PM'd me last night. We will need to know pretty soon this is a go so we can clear that week and get things in place.

P1/Martin's dream for Asif's money

I guess nothing. The class what ever it is now has to wait, and see if P1 is going to come out of hiding, and follow thru with all the promises made at the beginning of the year. That is where the class basically got split this year starting at Cumberland, and caused the rest of the schedule to start to fall apart . I will blame P1 now cause I am guessing SVL will get blamed if it does not happen. I was pretty pro P1 until I talked to Asif at the Gold Cup, as did George (The Money Guy). We both agreed that we didn't have a warm and fuzzy feeling for the future of SVL and P1. I hope P1 proves me wrong, but anytime I, or George made logical suggestion to help the class nothing happened. All I see is that SVL was a P1 political pawn, and it has simply split the class. Mix in a couple other issues some our fault, some not.

So its time for P1 to come out of hiding, and prove me wrong.

As you know the class voted not to follow P1 primarily because the last thing we need is another sanctioning body. It is unfortunate that some (not your team) ignored the vote and have chosen to chase yet another split that is financially doomed before it starts and will only damage the sport.

George I haven't bought anything new yet except a new piece of Kevlar in my stomach.....besides that Randy has Colby in the boat with him at the moment so I will back those 2 up until its time for me to come back to racing butagain if the want to come to Jersey I will climb in the boat with Randy....with that being said I am sure they will handle all of it in KW....So at this point I am going to bow out of all of it!!!!!

For any business owners that want to participate we will prominately display your logo on the boat, banners in the pit area and so forth. Come on guys were close!

How can not telling anyone (boat owners) what your plans are show someone how serious and professional you are? Isn't their participation the only way your plan can succeed? In any business communication is your greatest asset. No matter how well YOU PLAN, if your customers, or in this case performers, don't know what you are doing nor how it will benefit them, how can you ever plan to succeed? As I see it, there are quite a few boat owners and/or racers on this forum, but nobody seems to know what's up with P1 in the US. Also calling these same competitors "jokers" probably won't help your cause either. Why all the secrecy?

That is the best thing we can do for our sport...there are over 90 race teams that are currently regs. 2 Orgs are plenty..

I don,t think so frank,,when the first defected,they all came from llc and all had some money,,,most have all quit racing ,,and not many racers left have those guys money,, a small hand full of big show boats left ..and 60 or 70 buget ,mom and pop teams,,

Colby ,when we talked , you said your goal was 8000 dollars,,if big John gets approx 3000 ,, and heater is taking care of acomodations,,,,sounds like a real big party bill.. just saying ,,??:huh:
