So in essence the keel would be "deeper" between the strakes in the bow than it is in the stern. Would it cause a bow-down ride?

Would it create some water flow characteristics like you suggested the 36's had (ie. 36' was a damned 41').?

Yes the 36 was from a blocked off 41. I was looking for a neutral Boat here A CUV note the strakes

Here a Bertram 38 LOL the Name!!

It started as a blocked 41' up until the rocker was added. ;)

When they cut 5' off the back it effectively removed the rocker so it had to be faired back into the bottom when it was delivered to Saccenti.

It was supposed to be 35 feet on top of it.

Now here is the cad when I looked at this, it (Bottom)was in with the Aronow mentality of a 1/3 of the length constant running surface then head on up to the Bow and the "U" shaped strakes which I made lined back up to the water flow..

Here is a 45 footer done by Don Smith you can see the water coming off the inside Strake and straight out, He builds a nice well thought out boat.

Powerabout here is the transom going a Cheetahcat fishing boat, could not find any 19 MM Plywood that I could trust but there was a lot of nice 4.5 MM to be had, so we clamped about a zillion pieces of that in the boat with these Pneumatic clamps designed for this mold it went real fast with a simple Manifold and regulator took all the fun out of it. Inner liners are on the floor which include the Tunnel stringers. Mr Iraqi is looking on he was my night watchman as well .

That Plug was a Panel job done around 1988 I think ,, We used Shell epoxy on that also this Job lofted full size and had a huge mirror faced table in the shop that we pulled the hull shell parts from, sides , bottom halves and Transom ,,,Then there was a fixture with plywood frames and PVC Pipe for battens. That the 4 Sections plus the transom got mounted on,
