Be careful on your texting. We have had a half dozen or so charges to our cell phone account for “Premium Text Services” that we never used. Stuff like special ring tones, voting for American Idol, special pictures or games. They are foreign companies and charge your cell phone thru your provider for these and if you don’t catch them you will pay for them. They were around $9.95 each. They will be charged to your provider and then passed on to you. My wife found 4 on our phones and 2 on my daughters. She called Verizon to question these charges and they said you have to call the Text Services and got their phone numbers and eventually thru much hassle she is supposed to get a refund from the Text Services. A couple were fairly co-operative, but one was from India or Pakistan and were very nasty.She had to produce our phone record for that day to prove we didn't use the service. Here is where the second part to the scam comes in they want to send the refund electronically to a Pay Pal account or charge account and ask for your personal info. Go figure. Do not give them any personal financial info. Tell them to send a check or just write it off as a learning experience. With Verizon you can have these premium text services blocked.:icon_bs:
