SVL ,S NEXT STEP

George,
Sure was good to see you in Detroit. Man it's been 41 years since I raced against your Dad's Champ at the Marine Stadium and we had the IPC meetings in your living room or Harry Schoells warehouse near Crane Cam off of Hallandale Bch. Blvd. You're an enthusiastic ambassador for the sport and I wish you the best.

Have you guys come up with a rule book for 2010 yet? We are wondering what rules we are supposed to enforce in St Clair.

If you have a written rulebook, please email it to me. ron@oparacing.org

See ya'll soon.

Ron were working on it now,,the class all knows who has what for now,,,but for the must knows,,, max. 30 ' v bottom canopy---merc 525,,,bravo/imco base drive---4750 weight,,, see ya in st, clair

3 orgs, one contingency sponsor, 10 race teams, a new mfg SVl, 3 more maybe in the wings, an oil spill, a little bit of controversy. At the end of the day were still all friends, and just want to go racing. Were still on the right track, and plan on keeping it that way!!!!!

Just curious?? Whose the new MFG???

as you know Fountain has introduced a new fast svl ,,their is also a new svl being built in Hallendale,, fl. and a new one out west..

Good seeing and chattiing with you. Too bad another second, but a heck of a run....

The shop tour is still open for anyone interested. With our participation in the Harrison race, this week wasnt open but next week we can schedule something. Discuss?

Put youre motor in the "white " boat since the vortec has already proved its worth . Should be a great experiment .

oooo noo i.ll be in the boat,,it,s just time to let someone else drive the ship for a while,,were in great shape and we have good direction,,I need the time to make my boat go a little faster,, to finish the season,,thanks Doug

I heard another great idea. We should all put our computors in a bag and draw one out in the morning of the race. That would stop anyone from thinking someone may have an adavantage as well. Any takers? Im in.
Smitty do you have any issues with the VL class doing a autograph session for the fans? They seemed to realy like it.

What some other classes have done is the inspectors took the ECM's logged the numbers swapped them out to race and returned them to the rightful owners after the race. I think a blind swap is asking for trouble..

What does an ECM cost?????

jim I agree 100% we all put our names on the units with a sharpie and give them all back after the race.

i you ALL switch ecms, wouldnt that make cheating easier?? jus turn don your ecm because yo know it wont be in your boat...

no we can,t do anything to the ecm ,s Rob ,Merc has a code in them,,,swaping is a good idea ,,as long as you don,t get one that not has been in guardin mode too long ,,but i,m in.
we might need to ask Bob T ,,the cats did it ONCE and one of them got a set that didn,t work proper..

i think about 1000 bucks ,,but we haven,t had to buy one they don,t go bad,,actually we don,t have to buy to much for the 525,,,it,s a great engine.

I was thinking more along the lines of having extras to put in the boats at the race if it really can become a problem.

I am a golfer, so I believe you follow the rules.
