General Motors : Will they fold ? I am seriously thinking on buying more of GM. I really don't beleive they will fold and it could be a good bottom floor buy at 1.50 ? Dave

I think they're toast. The only question, where's the bottom. The only problem now, will the gov try to structure it like they did the Chrysler plan and screw the secured creditors? Something I don't get in the slightest.

Of course not! Obama and the rest of the Federal Government will not allow that to happen.

Will they be smaller? Oh hell yes! Will they be half owned by the government that taxed them to death and half owned by the unions that bled them dry? Yes on both!

GM along with Chevy, GMC, Buick, and Cadillac will still exist. Let's just hope that they build a quality product.

IMHO, the reason GM will enter Chapter 11 is because of the dealerships. Franchise dealerships come under state law, and there would be a huge pile of lawsuits if GM tried to close half of them outside Bankruptcy.

Under Chapter 11, GM can expedite the closer of these dealerships and come out of bankruptcy leaner and stronger.

Just my two-cents...
