Steve1 Political Rants

Little correction, Lee Harvey. AIG got bailed out in August and September 2008. That would be under Hank Paulson of the Bush Administation with participation by Geithner. Just wanted to make sure you realized there is blood on both of their hands, but the one wielding the knife was Paulson.

I am still trying to figure out where each of your sentences above stop.

Oh a grammar fairy!! Sachs got Paid dollar for dollar as I understand it! Should have been $.20 on a dollar.

Because some people decided it would be a good idea to placate global companies in the zest to be more profitable, have their stock prices go higher, and also deliver cheap PC's to their whiney constituents that think PC's should all be under $300.

Why would they produce anything here, with cost of living higher, and nasty things like benefits and taxes to deal with?

I can't stand that myself We really need nobody, the US Government needs to be more friendly to Business, The MFN with China was a Mistake It cost our industrial base! You would never see that in Germany and they are doing better than the rest over there. Three things Cheap energy ,Low Taxes (both corporate and capitol gains) and the Bureaucratic roadblocks ended.

Wow, he called me dude.

Man I know like Wow!!!!!!!!!!! now run back in and hit your Bong then Play "0"s with the cackling nobodies BTW the Idiot who told you to be yourself couldn't have given you ANY worse advice. LOL Remember do the opposite ,Later!

No I think the problem came in with the Locusts who bought the CDS on the cheap of a company and proceded to drive the value up by Short selling,

then "cascade investment" so to say taking the profit a half dozen times ,Now comes along the CMO's that were in some cases insured by the CDS Now in one case Goldman went to AIG with the iffy CMO's and when AIG tanked the Taxpayers Via Scumbag Geithner paid IMHO they should be outlawed in this country.

Goldman is a smart firm, one of the very few large ones that are smart. They knew what kind of crap was out there, and they sold off most of their crap by the end of '06. Goldman made over $4 billion shorting the Bush Bubble. They helped create it, and they made profits going up and down. They were also taken care of, very, very, well. What regulations the banks weren't allowed to break, were simply done by the mortgage companies they created.

AIG was effectively bailed out (the first time), on September 17, 2008. The year before, their profits were over $6 billion. Banking and financials are quite a clubbie group. They know no politics, only who holds the cards, and Their money. Anybody that has a desire to do the right thing, will be lobbied to death. If you think deregulation and tax cuts will help out these profitable firms, you're absolutely correct. We've already witnessed how far they will go. Which is why it's confusing that some want to go right back there.

Yo, StevieWonderBoy...

what do you have to say about this:

People blame Republicans for America's problems

Oh we all know the story about how Scott Brown won back the U.S. Senate for the Republican Party and how Republicans are now well on the way to retaking every single branch of government.

They are in great shape, more popular than ever. Right?

Um...not so much. When to the problems facing America, more people blame Republicans than any other group, according to the latest NBC/WSJ poll:

When it comes to dealing with the problems facing America, how much blame do you give [___] in not finding solutions to those problems--a great deal of blame, quite a bit of blame, just some blame, or very little blame?
...................................... Blame Not Blame
The Republicans in Congress 48% 50%
The Democrats in Congress 41% 56%
President Obama 27% 71%

Ok, I'll help you with your reply... "No,..."
